Last night I was looking for something different and my kids had suggested “Schittz Creek” but I had never seen it. I opened the tv and searched it, popped up on Netflix and started watching. I hadn’t checked the season number, just started watching. It was Season 6, episode 7 and I thought this is weird. Then I saw the wine tasting scenes as the David character made a face hearing “banana rose”. I had the same reaction but his facial expression was hilarious and I was laughing out loud by myself in my living room.
It has some of the cast of “Best in Show” and same quirky atmosphere. If you are looking for a laugh give it a try. Warning, it can be silly and stupid and sometimes gross but you can always turn it off.🙄😳😂I am enjoying Gene levy’s son Daniel in the cast as David and Catherine O’Hara is always funny. Chris Elliot is just Chris😀
“Anybody own this?” The diligent professor held up the pair of stringed and lacy underwear he found under one of the desks in the room. His glare seemed caustic but there was a smile beneath it. Three things happened then. Charlene turned crimson, Joe blushed, and the rest of the students flushed. The class was dismissed.

Ellen Johnson Sirleaf, the former president of Liberia and first elected female head of state in Africa, stands for a portrait on World Malaria Day in Washington, D.C. Sirleaf, now a leader for global health issues, jokes that this is an “Angela Merkel” pose. Shuran Huang/For NPR

“In 2006, she became the first democratically elected women leader of an African country – more than a decade before the U.S. celebrated its first female … vice president.”
“She is a co-winner of the Nobel Peace Prize. When she got the call, she recalls with bemusement that she was in the middle of a campaign trek on a very bad road. Her first response: Why?”
“She is the legendary Ellen Johnson Sirleaf of Liberia. And at 83 she is not ready to retire. On a visit to Washington, D.C., on Monday she talked about her latest mission – getting more money for the fight against malaria – and highlights of her storied life.”
“Sirleaf’s trip seeking support for the fight against malaria comes at a critical time. There were 241 million cases of malaria in 2020, the most recent year for which data are available, up from 227 million cases the year before. Deaths increased, too. The pandemic shoulders much of the blame for hindering access to health care.”
Sam, the universal pet detective, flew in from the moon on a tip from his buddy Flash who had just returned from one of the worst planets, Earth. To Sam it seemed to take an eternity to get from his home planet Zooth to Earth, a trip he never relished. Earth was just too crowded with humans, but in their defense they did love their pets.
Always ready to embellish his own detecting talents, he took the offered reward. But if Flash hadn’t seen the trail of discarded coke cans that led to the box Icky Inhuman was hiding in, Sam would probably not have checked the planet Earth at all. “Ickys just think they are human”, Sam said, “try to impersonate them, and some do resemble them, but they are still only animals”. The detective considered it another case easily solved, of course failing to mention Flash’s help.
She carries herself with confidence, surrounds herself with love, a woman of many talents, whose personality is luminous. Being in her presence exudes happiness and fun. She is my granddaughter.
I never heard “zip it” until the Austin Powers/Dr. Evil movies with Mike Meyers. They were never my favorites but there were some funny sayings from them. “Yeah baby”, and:
Such colorful choices fish not my appeal But I’ll take the sticks for my “McDonalds” meal I’ll use them for fries littered with ketchup It’s a lunch at the office, don’t want to ruin my makeup.
