Fandango’s Story Starter

This week’s Story Starter teaser is:
WHEN THE TAXI DRIVER SUDDENLY TURNED IN THE WRONG DIRECTION, I ASKED HIM WHAT HE WAS DOING. HE TURNED AROUND, HAD A NASTY GRIN ON HIS FACE, AND TOLD ME THAT HE…

knew it was me. He had seen me with his wife in the cafe window. He had suspected but now he had proof…and the perpetrator!

Joe shifted nervously and tried the door handle, locked. “Where are you taking me” he asked nervously.

“To join the woman you stole from me. I hope you know how to swim”.

Six Sentence Story

***

Standing on the edge, thinking, should I jump?

It would be fun but I need to hold my breath.

How can I hold my breath and still look cool?

My suit is tight, is it too revealing—what if it falls off?

Is he watching…I have to do it, so he’ll see ME!

I shout “cowabunga” and jump, hoping I don’t choke without holding my nose.

Sammiscribbles Weekend Writing Prompt

Cry out! Join in! Now is the time to make your ideas and choices heard! The times of sitting back in comfortable nooks, ordering meals delivered, shying away from the fray, watching too much television, streaming, participating in video games anonymously, and hiding in living rooms. It’s time to stand up, if not for yourself, for others less fortunate. These times do indeed need changing.

Sunny Busy Days

On our way to Denver for my granddaughter’s graduation to receive her Medical Degree after eight years of work. The mountains and Long’s Peak, the tallest in the photo, were at their most beautiful!

Celebration lunch included seeing my first great grandchild and holding her! So tiny but she is doing well. What a memorable day♥️
