It started as a challenge, a way to build relationships, try to erase old disagreements and regrets, and start fresh. The idea was to set up a cabin in the mountains free of internet and daily text exchanges and breathe in a new skin in the mind.

Apparently the board of directors of the company that owns the complex I’m living in now has decided there is no need for an on-site manager or maintenance person and if I try to call for any information, the phone rings about ten times before a clueless offsite employee answers.

Is this type of efficiency a result of at home work during the pandemic? Are you having these same problems? Every business is hiring and no one’s applying? This facility is for people age fifty and older and it’s teeming with old people, some disabled and some mentally deficient. So whoyagonnacall??

Good afternoon guys! I want to take this opportunity to share an important video. You already know I live in a windy, dry environment, but the video below shows the dangers of campfires here. I have a grandson, cousins, and friends who are firefighters. Even with their safety equipment there are many cases of esophageal and lung cancer in this profession. House fires with unknown containments are especially dangerous. When you see an ambulance or fire/rescue truck, move out of the way, they may be on their way to save someone you love!
