Putting My Feet in the Dirt 6

Fifty shades of embarrassment

Didn’t mean to cause harassment

Of any person place or thing

I just wanted to try the swing

Olden days the swing was my favorite

If only I didn’t wear that big bracelet

Things would have been fine

I’d have towed the line

Like grandmas should do

But you know who

Doesn’t always follow the rules

If only I hadn’t passed the school.

No one about, playground empty

If only I was younger than twenty

But thought I would take a chance

Walked over to swing and the romance

Came over me, childhood fun and games

If only my eyesight took good enough aim

My backside missed the swing

And then there’s the bracelet thing.

Trying to right myself it caught

Showing parts of me it ought not

But suddenly recess, children ensue

My dignity was now askew

Fear not they seemed to notice not

Helping me up, loosening bracelet caught

Oh, children are just the best

Unlike adults who would laugh in jest.

MLMM Wordle #132

It was the brainchild of the famous scientist, Iam Notacrook, well known for his attic salt on bleeding edge technology in government. It had been his favorite subject to lecture on at Government Rules U. in Greenwich Village, NYC. This location wasn’t exactly ideal for the professor’s views, but he decided he liked a challenge.

For years he tried to influence and change student attitudes, and the vicious hold that protesters in society held on them, trying to integrate their “flip-flop, fly-by-night theories” that they were not being heard. He implored his loyal students to fight back using technology to quash the upstarts who wanted less government control over their lives.

Every night he tweeted his lectures, hoping to appeal to conservatives and amass a small fortune from followers, stirring up an emacity for his ideas. If enough people agreed and wanted him to lecture outside the university, he might be classified as an emeritus professor and be able to stop teaching. His plan was to join the lecture circuit where he was convinced he could spread the word and add to his followers with social media.

FOWC: Anyway

Anyway, as I was looking for a different news report on the big train engine rolling out of Cheyenne, I spotted this. I think it’s funny, no offense to KFC, the senator, or Big Boy 4014. Roll on, buddy!

I’m loving this, because it’s making a great point of how our current government is a total joke. Don’t get me started on the furious fumbling fingers of the tweeter in charge, which makes me wonder what if anything he actually does as President, except ridicule others, twist the law and get away with it. Isn’t there an island somewhere he could rule as king? Because that’s what he wants and it looks like we’re giving it to him. Congress, where are your backbones? Where’s George Carlin when you need him?

Sunday Photo Fiction – Wonky GoT Spoiler Alert

A sad day for Tyrion. Watching from his chair, looking up to see the only remainder of the last episode of “Game of Thrones”. So sad in fact that he thought about destroying the mobile, but did not. His child lay in a crib next to him, unexpected from a brief union hiding in the dark safety of a crypt while real dragons flew above the castle walls.

Yes, the fear of death caused his inner demons to rise up and unfortunately he acted on those basal desires. There is good news, however. The dalliance into his former pastime resulted in a charming newborn, now sleeping peacefully while the kingdom, no longer under threat of destruction from the great white hoard, rebuilds.

One can only imagine the storyline now, as Cersei and her monstrous protector remain unscathed in warmer climes. Will her “loving” brother return to her side or will she marry Euron Greyjoy? Will Tormund finally have an affair with Brienne while licking their wounds? Will Jorah suddenly rise from the dead and marry the now defunct Daenerys? Could Tyrion’s child end up on the Iron Throne?

Oh my, the possibilities are endless!

Rory’s Questionnaire and Answers

Thank you, Rory! I feel most of my readers know me pretty well, but here goes:

  1. My blog name is: The Bag Lady
  2. I have no specific genre unless there is one titled: scribbling.
  3. I started the blog in 2015 but it didn’t take off till the next year.
  4. I was encouraged by a great guy I met online as I was fooling around on my iPad trying to distract myself recuperating in the hospital.
  5. Don’t you know you are never supposed to ask a woman’s age?😄 I attempted poetry around the age of 50 I think, many moons ago.
  6. I have three older creative sisters but at the later age of fifty I found time to explore it.
  7. Both, actually. I write about my experiences, family and if a Prompt strikes a thought, I try it too.
  8. I probably write too much. Mostly, I try combining prompts to not flood the Reader.
  9. Just WP. I like the community.
  10. Never
  11. Obviously I haven’t hit a block yet…sorry about that🙄
  12. Scribbling
  13. I’ve met so many interesting people since I started, it’s amazing and wonderful. I have lots of time on my hands since my legs stopped working, so I’m an armchair explorer so to speak.
  14. It could be anything, a word a picture, an event just occurred, or a family happening, such as today’s post about my granddaughter’s play we saw last night.
  15. I have no advice, I’m technically vapid, but be yourself, do your own thing.
  16. No strategy, I just love it. I tried strategy, bringing awareness to bladder and uterine cancer, cancer in general. . .turns out no one wants to read it. However, I have a four year checkup next month and I will write about it.
  17. Not really, of course I try to engage readers as we all do, but basically I write to get my feelings and frustrations out. I do engage with others, and that is a reward for me.
  18. Yes it would. I love comments, don’t always get them, but if someone takes the time to comment, you know they’ve read it.
  19. Depends. I like to keep it short and (mostly) sweet. I have had times when I get carried away and find a 300 word limit turned into a 800+ word story but not often.
  20. Any of my posts I like aren’t usually the most read or favored. I couldn’t say.
  1. My advice? Just write. Write about anything and everything, be yourself, be honest.

Well Rory, I hope these answers are okay. I admire your tenacity in the blog. You have great ideas and promoting others is a reward for everyone.
