MLMM First Line Friday

The strangers with her on the rooftop paused in unison. No one had seen it before, at least not up close like this! Children’s and adults’ mouths were agape as they felt the searing heat of the flames. Their eyes should have been shielded but they didn’t know it would get so close to be a danger.

The red hot mass streaked down in the cloudless sky, a huge comet falling to earth. It was a rare occurrence to see one this close. It had only happened once before, millions of years ago. The result will sadly be the same as then.
