Hope and Belief

Joey always chose to believe; he believed in many things—Santa Claus dressed in crimson with sparkling eyes, the Easter Bunny, Tooth Fairy, and fairytales. He hoped the magical bunny would bring a solid chocolate egg, but was not disappointed to find it hollow. He consistently woke to find a shiny new coin under his pillow after losing a tooth. Every year he hung his patiently decorated stocking near the fireplace and added a new small decoration to the Christmas tree to recognize a new year coming.
Ever looking on the bright side—his mind was a suitcase of wonderment. After his mother kissed him goodnight, his nocturnal choice was observing starry constellations and remembering stories he had been told of their creation.
Joey was an optimist, never professing dismay if what he envisioned did not come true. He was always hopeful some day it might.

Everyday life can be so dull
Many problems to overmull
Holidays offer reprieve
Whether you give or receive
The gifts you choose should have meaning
No ends, just beginnings
Add decoration if you will
Some sparkle, maybe bits of tinsel
To celebrate just “living”.

One Liner Wednesday
Murphy, I know you’re lurking out there!
It’s the count down, ten days to lift off, and at this point I’m usually thinking: I should get something more, do something more, etc and this year being in limbo as to my living situation I cannot afford to be thinking like that. It invades my sleep🙄🤯

Monday Media
Daniel Craig is my favorite 007 and I enjoy all the action scenes but the one in the beginning of this movie on the train, is one of my favorites. “Skyfall” made in 2012–can’t believe it was ten years ago! I also like the new “Q”😄

Christmas Calamity
Joe always tried to manufacture a semblance of mature grace, but a sleekit entrance to the family gathering was never meant to be. Unfortunately he was asked to carry a tray full of cookies made by ladies in the room. Their silence was broken by a huge crunch as he fumbled and dropped their carefully decorated works of art. Needless to say he was the subject of several indignant conversations the rest of the day.

The Sunday Whirl

The staff was in a flutter with stories of the crystal that suddenly appeared in the drawing room. Words were on the wing about the eldest staff member, Jeeves, and how he knew the item was able to haunt its owner.
The sudden reappearance of the crystal sparked a shift in the previously calm housemaids. Always prone to lift each other’s spirits during the usual boring chores, they felt gratitude for the exciting news of a mysterious object.
While serving water to her mistress, one brave maid decided to ask about the rumors floating about in the kitchen. The mistress said of course it was a myth, but made sure the crystal was locked in a safe that only Jeeves knew the combination.
After a while the chatter died down and most forgot about the crystal altogether. No one had actually seen it except Jeeves and he was not about to bring it up.
Jeeves and the mistress kept the mystery of the crystal to themselves, but the real story went like this. The crystal was enchanted and destroyed the mistress’s family—the result of a village feud, with an evil incantation. The last remaining member of the evil family sent the crystal hoping to put a spell on Jeeves’ mistress, but he was there to save the day.
