I’m late in posting, but hello on Tuesday, here in the “good ol’ USA”, at least that’s how we used to say it. And of course even with all the bad news, our (leader) and football season coming, rights of free speech, protesting, new regulations from the EU, flooding rains, approaching tornadoes and hurricane season, let’s see….have I covered most of it? I still feel privileged to be living here in the United States of America. Two sides of every coin are experienced here and that’s a main reason I love it.

So on to ceenphotography.com‘s Share Your World questions and answers:
1. Picnics? I love them, especially if there is natural beauty around you for entertainment. Unless I was on a trek through the mountains, or desert, I would not want any tech items with me. If inspired, pencil and paper would be nice, and could I ever go out in nature and not be inspired? Absolutely not. Bread, cheese, fruit, veggies and water would be my choices for a picnic. ππ§π₯π πππππΆ
2. If I ever go on vacation again, or even overnight, I would want a clean bed for sleeping. Old days of sleeping in a bag in a rain soaked tent are definitely not my style anymore.π
3. The top three items for a new place to live are in my dreams. Not at all practical or even feasible, but here they be: cabin, wood stove, inside bathroom. π
Because I’m a broken record on this question, family. A friend is going through a terrible time right now and does not have family support, in fact just the opposite. It’s time like these I have to say how grateful I am that I have the family I do. β€οΈ

First of all, thanks to everyone who replied to my question. I read a couple of articles on this and the more I read the more confused I got, which is not surprising since I am old and set in my ways. I don’t do TECH and that is apparent on my blog. I try new things and just when I think it’s safe to go back in the water….yikes! A new rule arrives. Here is the gist of it as far as I can see, and of course I am nearsighted:

Most of the articles that popped up were from businesses wanting you to purchase their app. Probably the reason it’s popping up so much in WP for me is because I block cookies and ads as much as possible.
I complained about this when I had to upgrade my email account on yahoo, one I’ve had since 1999. I lost old addresses, now have a cluster of new ones mainly businesses which I never contact, and always ads in my inbox which blocked as spam, keep reappearing. Needless to say I am terribly disappointed in their new format and when asked, tell them so.
You can teach an old dog new tricks if they want to learn, but what if they don’t?

Is everyone else getting these extremely annoying (to me) pop ups about privacy and have to stop and press click and accept, etc, usually a few hundred times and it still stays there and in your way so you can’t read the post? Do you get it reading my blog? If so, how do I get rid of it and should I?

It was candy curtsies
As the red vines started to dance
Bending, swaying in such sweet trance
Jealous twizzlers stared in awe
They all marvelled at what they saw
To juxtapose two weilding vines in such romantic twists
They began to realize even an imagined show exists.

When we first met, it was like two magnets colliding. We couldn’t spend more than an hour away from each other. Finding our soulmate, we were perfect for each other, perfect.
After three years we were still in love just as if we’d barely met. The attraction was still drawing us close, but we were able to tolerate more time apart.
After ten years we were still in love and children had come and we had to seek out time for each other.
After twenty years, lives were busier than ever, struggling with jobs, college tuitions. Things might crumble around us, life passing fast, but there was no erosion in love for each other.
After forty years, it was time for the magnets to reconnect.

I said, “darling, please, why can’t you be more like my old lover, Rueben? When we first met you promised to give me the moon!”
And so he did.

The table was set, the mice were there
It was going to be a ceremonial affair
The lady Marie was dressed in mink
The groom outfitted with a tie of pink
There were flowers and garlands
Mice came from all lands
To see the special wedding occur
When two unruly guests caused a stir
Hickory and Dickory were names of the culprits
Both of them being rather dull wits
Decided to run up and down the grandfather clock
Causing a disturbance, trying to block
The wedding ceremony, because you see
Dickory was in love with Marie.

I wanted to find the Omaha beach segment from “Saving Private Ryan” because I remembered reading an interview I can’t find now.
I was surprised at part of it where he said many of the soldiers drowned immediately because the boats couldn’t get into the beach far enough and the under estimation of the depth of the water. It seems incredible now.
Captain John Miller (Tom Hanks) takes his men behind enemy lines to find Private James Ryan, whose three brothers have been killed in combat. Surrounded by the brutal realties of war, while searching for Ryan, each man embarks upon a personal journey and discovers their own strength to triumph over an uncertain future with honor, decency and courage.
