Tell Me Something Good-50
As I read amommasview about enjoying her children’s laughter and play, I was reminded of my two youngest playing like that. Last get together we were talking about how they used to strap on those metal roller skates that fit regular shoes. They would go out in the garage where there was an even cement floor, and spray WD40 on the rollers so they could go faster. There were streaks of that oil all over the garage while they raced around or performed, dancing in a circle with clasped hands.
I have some great memories of my kids and now their kids!๐ That’s a very Good Thing!

The Secret Keeper- Prompt 82
Two sisters, complete opposite in personality, were waiting at the taxi station in front of the airport terminal. Their plane trip had been tiring and they had no change to call their soon-to-be mother in law to pick them up.
The cause for this trip was their father’s impending marriage to a woman in another state, a thousand miles away. The sisters were happy for them both. Their father was lonely, discouraged, inactive, and unhealthy since their mother had passed away three years earlier. This new love of his life seemed to rejuvenate him and his family was relieved.
The two had met in his small town coffee shop when she was visiting her brother. They noticed each other immediately. Both were alone since their spouses had died. Their pace of life was diminished without the companionship they were accustomed to. Another chance meeting in town and the two became a couple, to the surprise of his neighbors and old friends. However, like his daughters, they were grateful for his happiness.
“I hate these hotel rooms. The coffee makers are gross! Let’s order room service and have a real breakfast sent up.” She actually didn’t have the extra money, but thought her sister could use this small indulgence. Neither woman was well to do, but this trip to surprise their father was worth it. They wanted him to know they not only approved of the marriage, but were happy for him. They had gotten together and decided this trip was necessary, and would make a good start for the relationship of all involved. They contacted the bride to be and arranged for a surprise for their father.
Everything seemed to be going well, especially after the breakfast. Revitalized after a restless night and a delicious meal, they dressed and were anxiously awaiting the meeting. The plan was to meet in a restaurant bar. They were seated to face the door, and nervously sipped their tea. They were mindlessly chatting when both stopped immediately. Curiously looking at each other, they both spoke at once. “Did you feel that?” Both sisters felt the same sensation. “It’s mom.”
The feeling was what they believed to be their mother’s spirit letting them know it was okay. The new bride, the wedding, everything was all right and even that she approved. That is how they described it to their aunt when they arrived back home. There was no other explanation needed or wanted for them.
As their nerves started to settle, a line of people entered the bar, among them was their father and his new love.

The Blue Sky Tag
How cool is this?

I have had my eye on this tag because it’s one of the prettiest awards out there. Thank you so much to https://poetry2473.wordpress.com for nominating me. I found the poetry lover a few months ago and she writes emotional poetry which most us can relate to our lives.
There are eleven questions from her to answer, so here goes.
- I don’t have one single favorite song. I love too many.
- One food I can’t live without is bread. Current favorite is Oroweat Winter Wheat.
- I am inspired by my children and grandchildren most of all.
- I prefer the warmth and sunshine of summer. But I love all the seasons.
- Well lately my hobby is blogging. Reading and writing takes a lot of time.
- Sports? Like actual sports? Not unless you consider unsticking my wheelchair wheels. They are ornery.
- Currently what drives me crazy is the daily news about our new (cough) president.
- I have to motivate myself. I don’t believe you can rely on others to do it for you.
- My favorite celebrity at the moment is Jeremy Renner.
- What makes me the most happy is my family.
- What makes me sad is the misfortune of people in this world.
People to tag for this award are: now do not be offended if you’re not on this particular list, please!๐

Prompt-2041-It was all a blur
Did you think this could occur
In a moment life has changed
A shock to your system, just a blur
Something quickly rearranged
Of the facts as you know them
It gets your attention
No comprehension
Moment of insanity
With no humanity
Is it just a blur
A trick of the mind
Or did it occur
Leaving reality behind.
Daily Prompt: Purple

Is it all little girls
Or just the ones I know
Pink on their curls
Purple to show
On their clothes
On their walls
Even their toy,
Purple is joy!
Prompt-47-Break
The break
A heart so fragile
Not romance
Circumstances
Loved ones
Affect your heart
In such a way
Frustrated tears
Helpless feeling
You can only listen.

Share Your World-March 26, 2017
Howdy from Wyoming! a sunny day with rain expected and snow tomorrow. Did someone say Spring? Thanks again to https://ceenphotography.com for her Share Your World idea. Such a fun way to learn about fellow bloggers!
1. My middle name is Lea pronounced Lee and I’ve never liked it. My mom and dad took turns naming my sisters and me. My middle sister and I got lovely middle names, hers is Lou. The other two received combo names, no middles, like Joanne. Bitter? Do I sound bitter? Nah…๐
2. If I’m doing housework, which tbh, is a rare occurrence, I have music on for motivation. When I had children at home, the favorite working song was “Travelling Salvation Show” by Neil Diamond. When the kids came home from school and heard it, there were groans all around. If I’m writing here, I have to have quiet. Playing games or doing puzzles on the iPad, I have headphones with music.
3. I don’t have a lot of possessions I treasure, but things I wouldn’t be without are anything made for me by my kids or grandkids. I also have rocks, stones that my sweeties used to bring every visit. I carry a couple of these in my backpack for luck. Yes, I also throw spilled salt over my left shoulder. Among my favorite items made by grandkids are, origami swan, artwork, paper cat, paper star, all crafted by hand.
4. There are a lot of nevers, some sad ones due to my physical ability, such as dancing, walking with the kids, driving, hanging anything like drapes, pictures, standing under a shower and just letting it wash over you without having to hold the wand.
I will never eat any “buggy” looking type food such as shrimp. I will never drink milk. I will never dye my hair. I will never give up my morning coffee. I’ll never give in to despair.
I am grateful for last week’s trip to the movies to see “Beauty and the Beast”. I haven’t seen a musical for a while. It was enjoyable but I think I’m not as enamored of them as I used to be. I think I’m getting more impatient with age and some of the scenes were too long, just my own opinion. My family gave it seven and a half out of five stars.๐
This week I am looking forward to helping my grandson with the replacement of his car engine. It’s only fair since he is my chauffeur! This week is spring break for the littles in the family so we’ll spend time together, which is my most favorite pastime.

ย MindLoveMiseryโs Menagerie Photo Challenge 157

The year is 2054. ย On the side of the canal Miss Pennypacker was indulging in the latest form of transportation for quick trips. ย She hadn’t experienced it previously, but had heard rumors it was an enjoyable ย ride. ย As she let the attendants put on the necessary gear, including a complete head covering, she began to get nervous, as she was claustrophobic. ย She struggled a bit until it was covering all but her eyes. ย Then they applied the goggles. She wanted to question the necessity of such gear, but these automated servers weren’t talking. ย She imagined the air over the poisoned canal water was toxic also. She tried to relax and let them finish her preparations. Having several helpful robot companions at the office and one at home, she had adapted to their efficient silence. ย She wondered how she was going to levitate over water in the canal when she was hooked to a ridiculously shaped balloon heart, the lifting device. ย Before she could ask another unanswered question, she started to drift, and float, not high, but quite a distance from the water. ย She thought the sensation was pleasant enough and her destination was visible. ย Waiting there were more robotic helpers to land her safely.
