Is it Monday Yet?

I have a Monday Peeve.

I have a new phone. I want to set up voicemail. I followed instructions on phone, then tried YouTube, and finally the 611 number they give you for help. After multiple tries to get them to answer “how can I set it up when they ask for a pin or password that I don’t have because it’s not set up yet?”. After various texts back and forth, they repeating questions, me repeating answers, I get this: “Stay on the line, someone will be with you in 27 minutes.”

I texted back: “You call me, I’m not waiting on hold for 27 minutes.” Naturally I have heard nothing. Maybe they’ll try to leave a message on voicemail!🤯😂. After a whole two days trying to set this up, going to the online addresses they give, etc. I’m done. Maybe I need a three year old to come over and do it. Otherwise, it’s a catch22.

Oh and even though I gave no permission to do so, Apple upgraded my iPad again. I can hardly wait to see what new hell they’ve handed me now. 🥴😱

Christine’s Daily Writing Prompt – Love Actually

She looked at him with a knowing smile. She purposely tripped so he would catch her. She held onto him a bit longer than necessary.

Mary was wary of him watching her, “coincidental” meetings at the coffee shop, glances across a store aisle. She wasn’t afraid, she was teasing him. Mary knew she was attractive to men and took full advantage.

She decided to ask him to join her for coffee when they both stood waiting at the coffee counter. Mary delighted in leading men on and then dropping them. She started the conversation with “I know you’ve been watching me. Let’s go to dinner tonight.”

Joe was so happy. He seemed to have an unusual attraction to Mary and could only explain it to himself thinking it might be love at first sight. He was delighted she noticed him and made the first move.

That night after dinner she called a cab to return to her apartment. She asked Joe to come. He was excited. At her home, Mary seduced Joe and then said goodbye. When Joe tried to call her, his messages were ignored. He finally saw her at the coffee shop and approached her. “What’s going on? I thought we were compatible.”

Mary gave him the proverbial cold shoulder and replied, “it was just a one night stand! What did you expect?”

“Well, love actually”. He then turned and left the shop.

Three Line Tales #204

Oh oh, someone turn on the light? Can you see me? I tried to go, but this blanket was so soft and cuddly I just fell asleep!

I was on my way home and it was a tiring trip. See the hole over there in the baseboard? That is where I live with my family. I’m sorry to say I was on my way home after gathering crumbs you all left after Christmas Eve dinner. I guess you were too tired to clean up.

Making my third trip, I was so tired and I saw a large cookie crumb that fell on this blanket under the tree. So I was lifting it, and suddenly my arms felt so tired, I thought I’d just rest for a second. I need to go, if you let me. I’m sure my family is worried about me. Please? Thank you! Merry Christmas!
