One-Liner Wednesday – Would you look at that!
This is a rant because I have been on the phone or online half of my day trying to get a prescription sent with a delivery order from Walmart. After all this time, I finally saw a notice way down on the pharmacy site saying I can’t have this delivered because it’s a certain prescription and no, it’s not a narcotic. In January, I placed an order and went to pick it up and it was $16.81 – today I find out it is costing me $28.61. Of course I notice all food items have gone up in cost but I can hunker down but meds are necessary.
So I call BS and I don’t need to spell that out because you know what I mean – every time Trump opens his mouth that’s what comes out! His latest rant showing his absolute stupidity is that he was lowering prescription prices by 1200%. You don’t need to be a mathematician to know that that is absolute BS.
I don’t need any financial help provided by the fantasy of a 1200% decrease in prescriptions. What I need is what every other United States citizen needs and that is a (deleted) president. A president that shuts his mouth once in a while or tells the truth.
Done for now…

Haibun Monday 8-4-25: Silver

Here are this week’s questions:
Gratitude: We’ll it rained and hailed here, loud booming thunder and the hail broke a fence and windows, pummeled my granddaughter’s beloved pickup-all while the fam was gone to CO. I am grateful no one was hurt but a great deal of costly damage to their home. This is a video I took from my apartment door, nothing like downtown damage.

Share Your World 4th August 2025

Once upon a time there was a princess named Sara. She adjusted her bodice and curls, with the new shorter hairdo. She was usually demure but today she was not hiding her passion for the gentleman caller. Her first meeting with Charles was brief but surprised Sara, and changed her mind of what she thought about fast relationships. In the garden she made sure the holly arbor framed her well as she paused shyly. Charles fell for her coy smiling act and they lived happily for a while.

August Visual Poetry Prompt

Joe never thought about love much
He knew he enjoyed his wife’s touch
She would make him swoon
Even before noon
That’s why he enjoyed his late lunch.
