The Bag Lady

It’s one of those days. I just found out a Christmas gift from Amazon , delivered by FedEx never ended up in my sister’s hands. I hadn’t had this problem before so did not ask for a signature receipt. Bad mistake people and a warning for the future because why should it get any better?

That’s my frustrated attitude today. Add to that, living in the city used to be fun, now it’s like living in a box.

This is my attempt at using the block editor. Sizing of things is not easy, or of course I don’t understand how to use it. I can add gifs which I like.

I reluctantly open my eyes, reach for my phone to see what problems have arisen overnight, while thinking, “I’ll just look at the weather forecast.” Of course I know it already: windy, cold even with the sun coming through the window. I tell myself to not seek the news reports. Why start my day with the inevitable reports of violence, hate speech and viciousness?

I’m seemingly driven to it, and as an older person, I have seen these occurrences before—they are not a surprise to me since I’ve lived in areas of these “united states” where it’s daily life, lived. I’ve seen civil unrest up close and personal. I’ve seen blatant hate and discrimination on faces too near me. Sometimes the great bones of my life feel so heavy, I wonder if my grandchildren or theirs, will ever be able to lift these burdens.

It’s gone wildly mad showing multiple posts

All from one author, how strange is that

Probably should keep this under my hat

George started mumbling under his breath, cursing her unending optimistic views. She never stops, he thought, it was just aortistic rhetoric with no affirmation shown in truth. If only there were two parts to her mind, the rose quartz vision, and a link to reality.

“See that sun coming through to warm us this winter morning? A pleasant day ahead.”

George sighed, realizing there was no thing to be had, but acceptance. He put his arm around his wife, and smiled.

Homeschooling was fine with Jimmy. He excelled in computer skills and he just received a congratulatory note from his online teacher.

Being the nerdy type already at a very young age, it was nice to know someone appreciated his intellect.

The little things that never fail to make me smile are of course, kids! Having a snow day where we played in the house together, everything from hide and seek to dancing to loud music, marching around like soldiers, all great fun I miss.
