M for Mariella. My oldest sister to be exact, and she passed away, 91 years old, last week. Appeared fine weeks ago and then developed pneumonia. She was ready to be with her husband who died a few years ago. I will miss her but remember how funny and protective she was to me and all the great memories we shared. They had seven children and a huge family that grew over the years. She insisted she was happy and couldn’t wait to join her husband. I take solace in her words.

L for lines – great lines I love are the funny ones. I’ll just give one example from a series I’m streaming lately, NCIS. Besides the one I loved last week, which was “self helpless” which I thought applies to a lot of us but last night the best one in a long time:

Franks: Offer me a drink.

Gibbs: It’s six o’clock in the morning!

Franks: Well float a Cheerio in it!

Mike Franks is my favorite character on the show and I miss him.

MLMM Wordle – Hardened

What is this broken seashell feel from your arms? No soft gristle is felt in your embrace. You choose this, a motion that will not take you emotionally upward in life and you’ll get what you must want, to be a loner. There will be no ecstatic romance buttons pushed to convulse your crevices, and no other body willing to accept you.
