Well here we go again, delete now because I will never hold my peace. The pendulum has swung too far in my opinion. I received an email this morning confirming that the trickle down theory is real and if you amplify something long enough and loud enough, even an intelligent person will believe it.
Background: I was looking into my storage of saved google sites yesterday, and used “pox” from a list of Shakespeare’s “swear” words in a post. I sent the list to someone thinking it was a funny thing to read and this morning got a reply, expressing – did you think of this after you heard Biden’s speech? Emojis followed, not funny ones.
I said no I didn’t see it yet, I was at the doctor. Curious, I watched the speech just now on YouTube. I think it was a great speech, much needed today and told them so. Apparently the swearing they referred to was when he slipped saying hell in a sentence, but excused himself immediately, and went on. If this is considered swearing, I’m in the wrong country.
By the way, hell is not a swear word. According to Wikipedia: In religion and folklore, hell is an afterlife location in which evil souls are subjected to punitive suffering, often torture, as eternal punishment after death.
This is pushing that pendulum way too far even for a Trump lover.

The shadow of the flame reflecting off my new coffee pot gave me a smile. This was what camping was all about. The pandemic had saved us in a way. As we gathered around the fire to eat our feast of freshly caught fish, we could have a chance to appreciate each other, happily unraveling memories of how much fun it was to just be–be a family that can relish in the love and care of each other. No more risk of hearing hateful language sprayed in “stone casting” crowds, no news programs projecting doom, only our small family appreciating the gifts of nature.

Drop in a nickel, dime or quarter, choose your favorite songs, and watch the vinyl flip. If your burger, fries and drink are at your table, wait for the romantic refrain you have chosen. Place two straws in the shake. A fait accompli! Enjoy!

Usually I recommend a movie or show here but today I am disappointed in “The Tomorrow War” with Chris Pratt. An interesting concept and he did a good job, but the rest was just not up to his previous MCU efforts, in my opinion. This is a Skydance production. Have you seen it and what do you think?

My perfect upstairs neighbor is moving today😭. He has been quiet, peaceful, no raucous guests or parties, no leaving dogs in a bathroom to fight all day and turn on the faucet to flood my apartment below, so he has been A#1 in my book.
Living in this complex for seven years I have had them all. Especially since I live in a building of all singles and the USAF base nearby houses a lot of people here. Yes, it makes for gorgeous scenery in my trips out of my dungeon, but I’m probably the oldest resident here in this area. I don’t mind the occasional party or loud music, or midnight vacuuming.
I could have run out to his truck to beg him to stay, but nah. That’s about as crazy as when I considered leaving a note on the motorcycle guy’s ride asking if he would take me for a spin. 😅🤪. I’m kidding, but life is short —sometimes you have to go with your gut.
