Maude and Mickey 5-4-18

Of course I place Maude first because she is showing herself to be the more feminine and fertile of the two pits. Yes, my lovely avocado plants to be:

Maude

Mickey

In Mickey’s defense he was started a week later, but being the larger of the two, must be of the male persuasion. I do have some fertilization granules I plan on adding to Mickey’s environment to boost his “agility” if he doesn’t show some movement in the next few days.

Maude on the other hand seems to be producing an heir of some sort. She reminds me of the creature in the “Alien” movie, the way she’s going about it. But however she chooses to procreate, I’m happy she’s not just lounging in the “tub” like Mickey.

I’m sure you are riveted by this post, so I’ll make sure to update you all on any progress made.

Putting My Feet in the Dirt 4

Today is Senior Day for my grandson, the helper, the great guy, you know the one. Between JV soccer and his game, the senior players are called out on the field with their loved ones, and the announcer says a short blurb about each one and their plans after graduating.

This is the type of Time Binging I enjoy most. Watching my kids and their kids, working, playing, and just the feeling it gives me…

MLMM Take Weaver 169 – The Portal

June 1, 1892

“Taking that first step, how can I? Do I dare enter the unknown? Will it be scary, dangerous, exciting, rewarding? Will I be loved?”

These are the thoughts of young James Kennedy as he envisions himself venturing into a new world. He has dreamed of this moment, even had nightmares about it, stepping into the unknown void.

The space he sees before him looks inviting enough, a swirl of color and starlight beckoning him to enter. One step forward is all that’s needed, just one step. James lifts his right foot and is suddenly pulled into the vortex. Swimming around him, all he sees and feels are colors. Swirling, encompassing his body, James feels no pressure from the vividness, only a floating sensation. He feels pain no longer, only a pleasant relief and sense of peace.

The newspaper obituary read: James Murphy Kennedy, aged eighteen, succumbed to an unknown disease after a long time suffering. He is survived by his parents, James Smith Kennedy, and his wife Margaret Murphy Kennedy. The priest at his bedside remarked James was smiling before his death.

Putting My Feet in the Dirt 3

My most favorite liquid love is water. The earth is about 71% water and almost everything on earth cannot survive without it. We nourish ourselves drinking it, bathing in it and without it, we would curl up and die. Men are made up of about 65% and women, about 55% water. I drink a lot of water, never go a day without it.

Friday Fictioneer – Feline Fate

They could smell the stench a mile away, all the trash, rotting in the stream. It even had steps down to the wretched water for anyone’s convenience when dropping off a few unnecessary items. That’s why they chose it. It was unmonitored, perfect for the disposal.

Harry and Moe had to dispose of it quickly. Dead cats deteriorate fast and they wanted to maintain their innocence. They had already cleaned the tires, washed the leftover bits off the sidewalk into the gutter, and repaired the bike. They found out cats can do quite a bit of damage. Neither boy liked cats.

Daily Prompt: Abrupt and One Liner Wednesday

“A TV can insult your intelligence, but nothing rubs it in like a computer”.

This has been my day so far, read blogs on phone, find no written comments have shown up for weeks, so sorry guys, I didn’t mean it. It’s just easier having coffee in one hand, phone in the other, to read blogs…. Then switching to my iPad, it keeps going off abruptly. I find myself on my home screen again, hit the WP app button, again…WP says, send crash report? Of course I always click “always send”. What else would I choose? Maybe it’s wifi, thunderstorm activity? Who knows, maybe it’s me? NAH😳

The Secret Keeper – Regrets

I never thought it would come to this. Was I shocked? Not really, the depressive tendencies were always there under the surface. I knew that. I knew a lot of things I probably shouldn’t have.

I was not doing well, my health failed, only a few months left. Of course I never told him, well, not at first. At first it was a flirtation. It’s surprising how the reality of death looms around your mind and makes you careless. I wanted to relive the life I was losing.

Being diagnosed with a few months to live, I didn’t want to mark time, becoming what I used to see in movies. The heroine laying on a multilayered death bed, wasting away as her lover sits by her side weeping. I wanted to be the woman who received the miracle cure at the last moment.

This wasn’t going to happen unless a religious miracle came about. I’m not even sure when I stopped praying, I know it’d been a long time since I offered “up” a prayer to help myself, if there is help, if there is a supreme being up there. Just where would up there be, anyway? Well you get it, I knew I was doomed. And why does anyone say “doomed” if they truly believe there is an “upthere” place?

You can see how it is, I was a bit off kilter as my grandpa would say. And that was the reason behind my recklessness, excuse for my actions. I started writing on the Internet, looking for someone, anyone, really, to play with, have fun, maybe someone a bit dangerous? I had nothing to lose. My first attempt was answered immediately, starting with flirtation, turning to need, both of us looking for something we didn’t have.

Right away I felt attracted to him, and not only because of his wit, but his sudden attraction to me. . .me, the sickly, weird person who was incapable of anything lasting. I didn’t intend to make a mark on him, hurt him, but at the time I was all about my own needs. That is when a serious relationship began. I told him the truth, that I was sick, and wouldn’t be around that long. I believe my intention, however masqued even in my own mind, was to warn him. I want to believe that, even now, as I lay here in nothingness.

I played back, eventually meeting and waiting for him to be enamored of me. I needed it one last time. He seemed as deprived of passion as I was, and we completed each other’s wanton desires day and night. He seemed almost too willing to be my “everything”, but I was too desperate to care. I’m trying to feel no regrets, but guess I used him.

I was getting weaker, in pain. He was vigilant, sorrowful, and caring. The last night he came to me, holding a cup, breathed the quiet words, “I love you”, and drank a poisoned liquid.

Putting My Feet in the Dirt 2

Hurrying trying not be late

I don’t want to make them wait

The weather’s cold, there’s even snow

But I am ready to go

Layers with my jacket of fleece

A long heavy scarf to ward off sleet

I travel down to the corner to wait

Told them I’m ready for our date

Nothing too exciting as a rule

A soccer game at the school

Weather in spring can be nasty

Shouldn’t be out here, was too hasty

Should have waited inside where it’s warm

Not sugar or salt so there’s no harm

It’s only a senseless sacrifice

Chilling and watching the sidewalk ice.
