I think this word is appropriate for the day. My pressure video post also. I’m actually surprised I kept my Irish temper under control as I just spent an hour and a half, 48 minutes of it on hold, with Medicare.
Yes, ladies and gentlemen, the very government organization we in the USA rely on after a certain age. Never mind the fact it is big business under the heading of “care”, a misnomer.
Since I’m not taking any medications, I decided to change from my 85 dollar a month payment to save money and enrolled in a 15 dollar a month program instead, active on January 1. I probably jinxed myself doing that and will fall terribly ill needing multiple prescriptions on that date, and have the 400 dollar deductible take effect.
Do I sound jaded? Definitely! Of course the new plan is not in effect yet because they have no record of my enrollment, even though I have an actual letter from them saying so.
I used to work for the government. Paperwork, lots of it, is their specialty. Efficiency is not. Shambles, indeed.
I could go on but it’s time for breakfast/lunch. Why so late? Because I’ve been paying bills and been on the PHONE. Okay, I’m calmer now. Just breathe…

Happy Thanksgiving everyone and I clarify that we do not do shopping on black friday. Our day after T is setting up the Christmas tree and other decorations. It’s usually a quick visit from out of town loved ones and we spend it together at home. We are all very thankful when we’re able to be together.
1. Since I have new apartment neighbors on an early 4 am schedule, I’m automatically awake at four and go to bed around ten.
2. I write here on the blog. I read, watch movies and play a couple of word games. I love games in general and play Scrabble, Trivia, Sorry and lots of card games; also teaching my grandson Canasta. I am lucky at cards! If anyone has opinions, they don’t share them. ; )
3. I would ask, “didn’t I see you in “Happy Feet”?”
4. Never. However, I’m unduly influenced since I just watched the movie”Life” last night. Is it just me or is every movie scientist discovering alien beings just plain stupid? Sorry, I need coffee before I speak.
I had a fun time with family this weekend and for that I am always grateful.
Have a great week and give thanks – it makes you and everyone else feel great!
George swept aside the charcoal ash by the fire door. The wood stove served many purposes as it warmed the small one room cabin and heated water and food. There was always an old dented kettle full of hot water atop the burner, ready to make tea. The string hanging above served as a clothesline and a cast iron skillet had been seasoned well, in good times, with rabbit stew.
Presently a pot of “stone soup” was boiling, made from scraps he could find left from the harvested fields of the landowner. These were hard times for George’s family.

I am late to the game. I’m finding I am not receiving blogs I follow such as this one, in my mail anymore. I know I’m missing some of you and I’ve tried to follow again. I don’t know if it’s WordPress or Yahoo mail. I hope you are receiving my comments on your site as well. Here’s my answers:
1. The biggest most memorable screw up in the kitchen was in the seventies. I was on the weight watcher diet and followed a recipe for chocolate mousse, thinking my kids would love having a “real dessert” in the house for a change. We all sat, finished the meal and I proudly presented my concoction. It looked beautiful but as each one took a bite, we silently put our dishes in the sink. This was before the days of good tasting sugar replacement, if there are any. However, I don’t use any sugar replacements or diet sodas etc. I think they are bad for your health. JMO. βΊοΈ
2. I think people believe in conspiracy theories because they basically just want an answer and cannot comprehend one evil mind would come up with such a horrific happening. Unless it’s T….strike that – I don’t want the secret service visiting me!
3. I think in forty years basic things of life, such as love of ones family, will not change. We will always be nostalgic for those who are no longer with us, a simpler time in our lives, or childhood memories.
4. A hot dog consists of a “meat” and a bread, so yes. π³βΊοΈ

This week I am grateful for having family members around, going to a college play and food shopping, you don’t need more than that!β€οΈ
An awkward man with the name of Pete
Loved to dance but had two left feet
Lessons aplenty
Didn’t help any.

It is a lark, investment in a new life, with an uncaring devil may care attitude. Fringed hat, heeled boots, flamenco dress are mere accessories. She left, never to return, now it’s fiesta time!

Well here I am, late, but I’ve been busy, delightfully so. Last night was my twenty year old granddaughter’s debut in her first acting role — Jean in “The Dead Man’s Cell Phone”. I was very proud of her. An intimate setting of about sixty person audience at the Laramie County Community College (LCCC) as it’s referred to locally. I had practiced lines with her so knew what was coming, but she did extremely well. Yea!
Today was busy, snowing in 17 degree weather and lunch out and grocery shopping. Roads are slick! Parking lots messy, but it was still fun. Surprise visit from my (now attending college in Casper) grandson, but revised his role of chauffeur…A perfect set of days!
