It’s a weird day, woke up feeling sad about things I can’t do anything about, got into the shower and what really made my day was a Snapchat from my granddaughter, who will be 21 next month. She is a special one and uses the snap chat expertly. It was a great pick me up and sometimes that’s all it takes for me to set about on a positive note.
Then Murphy visits, dropping the (stuck to the wall with those white sticky things) battery operated clock straight into the sink. Water running at the time of course, and one of the batteries falls out into the disposal. Lucky that wasn’t running also! I suppose it might have created an arc of some sort linking to the running water and my hand and therefore electrocuting me. . .oh well, not a bad way to go, it’s quick. But think of the mystery involved. . .how did I die with no outlets nearby? Would anyone think to check the disposal unit? Surely the unit would stop running eventually? I feel a mystery novel coming on–JK. Because the clock ended up in the sink, the faucet pouring and splashing on my just dressed outfit, it caused a minor glitch in my morning. It is now 12:01 and I’m on to less stressful activities such as laundry. Take that, Murphy!
A 1970 movie I recommend, starring Jack Lemon and Sandy Dennis–not the remake . “The Out of Towners”. Neil Simon was the greatest for this type of comedy.

Good day! It’s time for Linda’s Stream of Consciousness post again and the Prompt is critic. I think every one of us is a critic as we choose which items to read, see, or listen. Last night I heard a new song and I would critique it as beautiful! This reminds me of a young Joe Cocker. What is your critical view?

A quiet girl–studious would be a compliment. Never revealing her secret self, the superhero hidden. Wonder Woman.

Hardly anyone realized how important he was. That is, unless they went up on the ridge and looked down to see this. A mysterious monument to him, by an unnamed sculptor. Only those who shared the civil rights movement in 1966 know what this roughly hewn stone means. He was a leader, a protestor, a visionary. The brave souls who fought along side him knew how powerful he could be. This monument is a secret tribute to him, and the movement. No one knows, fifty years later, if he is still alive or where he is, but they are still in awe of his influence.

Thank you, Cyranny, for giving me the opportunity to give this award to a blogger I admire: . https://bereavedsingledad.blog/author/bereavedandbeingasingleparent/. Cyranny is a perfect example of someone who doles out kindness like M&Ms. Sweets from the sweet. I have personal knowledge of her abilities. Check out her amazing writing in the cove.

The link below is his latest post. He is the father of an amazing brilliant child and trying to deal with more than your ordinary problems. He lives life with honesty and love. Congrats to him!
There are many bloggers here that deserve this award. I am just highlighting one!☺️💜
Rory, that old questionable guy, uh, I mean –
https://aguycalledbloke.blog – the man with the questions? He asked yesterday how often we update our About page and I found my 2017 was still here.
Here’s my update:
Now four years cancer free and on no meds is a cause for celebration! I have more readers on WP and met many more bloggers from this world we share and that’s also a great thing! More housebound than last year, with long winters here in WY so I’m feeling cabin fever, can’t wait for spring!
I’m still exploring writing and loving it, with a few dry spells mixed in. I’m always amazed at people who find my scribbles worth reading but I appreciate each one and your comments. Thank you! ♡♡♡♡

Everyone at her birthday party was shocked at how she had aged in the last year. No one would ever tell her that of course, so even though Artesia had dressed in her most beautiful gown, she could not hide her signs of aging. Her body, once succulent, and full of life, was now stooped and dry. Her most tasty parts had been devoured, eventually disappeared through time, leaving her to hang on the vine, no longer palatable.

A walk in the rain
Tasting a snowflake
Watching a bird learning to fly
Dragonflies lighting on my shirt
Sunrise and sunset gazing
Smelling flowers
Feeling tree bark
Wading through ferns
Listening to a brook
These are some of my favorite things, now I do seldomly, or not at all.
