Fifty Word Thursday

What do you think?

To be perfectly honest, it gives me a stomach ache.

Oh, my, then you feel a strong reaction to his style?

Well, yes you could say that. Which way to the restroom?

That’s interesting. I’ll be sure to tell him you were moved by his work.

Kira’s Sunday Scribbles

I am letting you down easy! This is a pretty big ball you’ve gotten yourself into. And put that iPad down and pay attention! Just one more rock to go over, I’ll jump on top, we’ll roll down and be safe.

Where’s Smokey the bear when you need him, anyway?

Imagination Plantation – Revenge Stinks

I was tagged by https://wideeyedwanderingspoonie.wordpress.com to participate in this challenge and I must say there’s a lot going on in this artwork from Pinterest. Thank you for the confidence!

“Looks good to me Charlie,” as he saw their ride waiting.

“Yup, what a day! They’ll be sorry they didn’t let us in,” chuckling with anticipation.

Two scoundrels, Charlie and Mike, were out for revenge. They wanted to enter the park to have fun just like all the other kids, but were not allowed. It seems the park’s owner had the right to refuse service to anyone and the boys, being conjoined twins, didn’t qualify. All of their lives no one really expected anything out of the twins, after all, what could they really accomplish, being what they were? “No one” included the boys’ parents who were horrified at first sight. Growing up totally on their own after the age of thirteen, they took pleasure in creating mischief. Today was no exception.

The boys did receive a compensation of sorts from the state, and today they combined their savings to rent a hot air balloon to observe the park from above. The pilot of said balloon was staring quite a bit, nevertheless, he helped the boys into the basket for the flight. The boys had prepared well ahead for the occasion, gathering various leavings from unattended animals, bagging them up for future use. The balloon pilot was unaware of the boys’ intentions and failed to prevent them from creating the gross disaster. At least that’s what he told the authorities after he landed.

The twins were taken away to spend hours doing community service as punishment for their actions, but it didn’t bother them much. They were satisfied with Step #1 of their plan.

MLMM Photo Challenge #269

Love is fleeting, all the more today. Only connecting by technology, who sits across a dinner table looking into another’s eyes, listening to their words? Cell phones are a necessary but defeating item. Texting becomes the norm where not even whole sentences are required. “Life is shorter than you think” is often said by older people like me, because it is true. We’re warning you to stop, take the time. It won’t matter to the world if you spend an hour of a busy day truly listening to and hearing your friends and loved ones. No phone or email or computer–face to face, because they matter to you, and you matter to them.
