I can’t be emphatic enough, when I ask you to vote. Vote whether you agree with me or not, but please do not take your right to vote for granted. People have died for your rights, and still are to this day. It’s more than a right, it’s an obligation.
Don’t let the stupidity and ignorance of others’ actions going on now, including our government leader, drain you to the point of apathy.

All those people who died, I wonder what they’d have made of the current candidates?
That sounds facetious, but there’s a serious point there. I used to “not vote” because voting legitimised the system. But the only way to change the system is by voting.

Here we have compulsory voting, so everyone participates. I think that those who opt out are turning their backs on community.
