Putting My Feet in the Dirt 5

Ever hear of a medallion notary? Neither had I. A notary medallion is required to validate some important forms. Every bank should have one.

Imagine my surprise in finding unexpected revelations when searching the Internet to find one. There is one, supposedly here in town, but no names or phone numbers are available and appointments are needed. You have to be contacted by them? What is this, the Secret Service? CIA? Interpol? I add Interpol because the only legitimate one I found was in the UK!

Google search showed that UPS and FedEx offices have them, which I understand, also pawn shops, equally legit. But calling all over the place found most advertising this service don’t even know what it is! I asked, then why do you advertise you provide this service? Of course receiving an “uhhhhh” as an answer, I said irritatingly, then take it off your ad!

By this time after numerous phone calls and hearing, ” yes I am a notary, but I don’t know what you’re talking about”, I called my bank again and I was not in a good mood.

Long story, she finally called around and found another branch who had one,and the appt set for tomorrow morning.

Why is it always so difficult to get someone to do their job? Last summer a grandson complained about the work he was doing etc. He did have legitimate complaints, difficult uncaring boss and it was a lousy job. But my advice was clear. You take a job, you do what you’re asked to do to the best of your ability, period.

Maybe I’m just a hardas-.
