“Hey, Joe, I’ve found it!”
“What,” he asks, weary from their travels. Mike and Joe had been looking for something, something worthy, something palatable, something meaningful, all their lives. They thought they had found it at different times in their lives, but it seemed to eventually disappear. Everything they were taught, to envision the future with hope and promise, now seemed tired and pale. Discouraged, they kept searching.
“Look up there! I knew we’d find it sooner or later, all the answers must be here!” Joe was ever vigilant, knowing the meaning of life was there, he just needed direction.

lovely work with the prompt!
i can imagine one looking for meaning. i’ve come to think we have to create it for ourselves.
