Uh huh, I know what you’re thinking, but. . .no.😎
When blood pressure is high but you crave salt and detest the fake stuff🤢, try these. There are lots of different combinations and flavors to choose from and they are not expensive. We went wild with the garlic and herb on popcorn. You just add it to the butter while melting in the microwave to pour over popped corn. I am no photographer and hope you can read the ingredients, if not, let me know and I’ll resize them.

If you cant find them locally Amazon has them. I use them frequently on top of chicken or fish, wrap tightly with foil and bake.

Just like every Leo, she always had to be the center of attention. Her ego was astronomical, her beauty induced blasphemy, and her intelligence? You would only have to listen for a few minutes to be entirely mesmerized by her voice. This strange infatuation seemed to affect men and women alike. Is it any wonder she is an accomplished actress, lawyer and orator, and of course. . .fictional.😉

Hannah loved this particular fabric store. Her imagination would soar as she perused all the fantastic choices available. Today a unique choice was needed. It was her friend Sasha’s birthday and she wanted something special. A fleece fabric for a cozy blanket maybe? Hannah decided to seek interesting fabrics with more details.
She came upon a soft cottony fabric with a slight stretch to it. A dress, or skirt, jacket? She was full of excitement as ideas flooded in. Hannah decided on making a skirt with this fabric. She took great care in choosing the thread to compliment, in a deep burgundy hue.
The gift was completed quickly and presented to her friend. Hannah was pleased. Sasha ripped open the gift and ran in her bedroom to try on the skirt; Hannah joined her. Sasha was admiring herself in the mirror when the skirt seemed to expand and engulf her. Hannah just sat on the bed watching, seeming unsurprised at this happening. Sasha cried out in desperation before the fabric totally consumed her and then only a smidgeon of burgundy thread remained on the floor. Hannah quickly scooped it up and threw it away. Sasha was gone.
Hannah left Sasha’s apartment and walked down the street with a bounce in her step. The plan worked, she knew Sasha wouldn’t hesitate to try on the gift, or wait a second before pulling it on, she was so narcissistic. The trick was in the mirror. As soon as Sasha took longer than three minutes admiring her reflection, the thread would do its magic.
Your Friday prompt for Stream of Consciousness Saturday is “astronomical.” Use it any way you like. Have fun!

Going into the Joanne’s fabric store is always a fun adventure, bringing back days of being a young mother, sewing, crafting and all the things I do not do now for various reasons. I do miss it. My granddaughters are into it and since the youngest one’s birthday is coming right up we were looking for material with themes of space, NASA, planets, or anything in that genre to make something. After seeing many nice choices we abandoned them all as we came upon this, not astronomical but delightful fabric:
A skirt will be made in this soft fabric and will go perfectly with her burgundy Harry Potter T-shirt 😉

Charlie just stood there, his mouth open looking rather silly. He was staring at the lottery ticket with unbelieving eyes. Two hundred million dollars and all he did was scratch off a random dollar ticket. He took a chance with a dollar scratch-off every Friday, on payday. He never thought he would actually win!
He stumbled over his words to the clerk behind the 7-11 counter. Every Friday after receiving his paycheck for the week, Charlie’s routine was stopping by this store for a Big Gulp. He mowed grass with those huge lawn mowing machines all summer long and this was a meager treat he allowed himself once a week.
After work he would return to his brooding Grampa, sitting on the porch to welcome him. If you consider that Charlie listening to his gramps complain about everything from the heat to his sciatica, I guess you might think it was a welcome home. Charlie and his gramps lived in a rundown home on the outskirts of town. No mortgage fees any longer, and it being just the two of them, they both settled into a saddened life.
Charlie could hardly believe it even when the clerk confirmed his winnings. Suddenly hot, tired Charlie felt a lift, and a huge rare smile seemed to stick to his face permanently. He drove home quickly, still on a cloud nine high, and greeted his Grampa with a huge hug. His gramps practically fell out of his rocker, but hugged Charlie back. “What’s going on, son?”
“Gramps, you’re not going to believe it!”

I had a few for this date in 2017. This is my choice for Fandango’s challenge:
***
She stared at it a while as she did each time she passed by. Is this the day to open it? She knows once she steps inside, the pain will be gone. Sarah wanted the pain gone, but all of her memories of him obliterated, once and for all. . . all of them? “I can’t keep the good ones, the touch, the kiss, the never-letting-go embrace?”
“If I step through the gate, they say I will shut him out forever. There will be nothing left of him in my heart. That is why I haven’t stepped through yet. I don’t know if that pain would be worse than the one I have now. I wonder if he has gone through yet. His survival depends on it, so he must have.”
“Surely I will have some memory of him after the gate closes, surely a love so complete, so strong it could conquer almost anything, surely”. . . Sara stepped closer to the gate.
It was as if her mind ruled over her heart, suddenly reminding her that love did not win over all. It was done. She felt almost pushed to step inside. Sarah opened the gate and turned, watching it close behind her.

“Well here we are again, Jen. You wanted to hunt for some secret pirate treasure containing your birthstone, emerald, and look what’s happened.” Jack was trying to remove the fish hook lodged in Jen’s hand, without much success. He was using pliers not really thinking about the barbed end as much as he should have. Or was it he was secretly punishing Jen for another misadventure she dragged him into?
“How did I know the treasure was booby-trapped? I thought the group of herring was just swimming around, not hiding something dangerous!”
After the pliers caused too much pain, Jack finally retrieved the hook by cutting off the barbed end with a large pair of wire cutters. Jen was relieved but thought she might need stitches.
“I hope this is the last of these fantasy vacations, Jen.”
“Maybe”, she smiled, as he bandaged her sore hand.

Embarking on an all too familiar path but with a new unclear destination. The previous journeys were not always pleasant but I survived those and I have to believe the same will be true. Positivity wanes at these times, but as a survivor I have to believe I will once again triumph. Writing survivor makes me smile through tears because any instance I use a word such as this, one that could indicate something small such as an afternoon sitting in hot sun or a major health concern or a loved one’s death, it’s really up to me how I quantify the word.
I planned on writing a humorous take on having a colonoscopy until I had one, and now waiting for results is just another game in my mind trying to remain positive all the while disturbing thoughts trickle in. It really does no good to think what might lie ahead, through the blurry unclear future, but how can I not? I have no control over what comes next and believe Murphy has taken permanent residence near me.
I can’t leave this without some humor.
