Cyranny’s Kind Hearted Challenge – August

Check out her address below for details! This is an easy one for me. I have an old friend who can’t seem to contact me, but writes letters once a month. I’ve written back but it’s as if she never gets them. She’s had the same address and phone for years. We were in PTA and a catering business together when our kids were growing up. Last week her letter came and she is asking again for my phone number and email.

For this challenge I will send a long letter giving her the information again. Will that do?

Good luck with this challenge.👍🏻🤗🥰

50 Word Thursday

***

Such a shame the old couple thought. All of these stones crowded together, you can’t even walk through to read who they were.

“Modern times, Mabel”, the old man offered. “Progress takes over and a new church built instead”.

“That means we’ll be laying here close together forever”.

They both smiled.

I Have History!

I’m no ordinary bale
I’m round and neat and golden
You may think I’m just hay
But I have history olden
I’m beautiful to look at
I feed the animals many
But my good attributes
Contribute to my infamy
Yes it was me I have to confess
I share the blame that day
When Little Boy Blue fell asleep
And the fields became a mess
I’m so round and soft you see
It really couldn’t be helped
He fell in a sleep, missed the sheep
And caused the mad farmer to yelp.

That great guy over at https://sonofabeach96.com gave me permission to use his photo in my attempt at personification. Beautiful from his Friday Farm Scene post, thank you!!

I’m still here. I don’t break easily, links are strong.

The rain and snow try to rust me thin, but I’m still here.

Children walk and jump and swing on me, and that really brightens me up. All the rusted iron dust doesn’t deter them.

I am steady, a constant in their otherwise changing world. I’ve been here before their birth and will remain long after their death.

Instant Family 💽📷🎞📺🖥🎥📹📽

I just finished watching this movie and now realize what it means when my daughter, husband and kids are all eating dinner, and someone yells, “chips, where are my chips?” Being a blended family in more ways than one, this is an appropriate term for us, with three adopted children, the movie is spot on. One adopted at two months, one at four and one at six, it has been a wild ride at times, but here we are, now ages 16, 13 and 21 and all survived, so far….just kidding. I joke because it can be tougher than you imagine and humor does help. As their grandmother, I could tell stories…maybe later. In the meantime give this movie a look and let me know what you think. Bonus is a behind the scenes video with the real family.

MLMM Wordle #144

“Definitely a catastrophe in the making,” Elmer stated. “Yup, when all that fulgerant light started to blind them, it was a nobrainer.”

“Pardon me, gentlemen, but did you see what happened here?” The young reporter shoved the microphone into the policemen’s faces.

“Well some of it. You see when the capacity of that rigid fiberglass started to bend from the pressure inside the flux capacitor, I think the whole thing just blew! We warned ’em, didn’t we Jake?”

“Yessir. But those capricious know-it-alls couldn’t lower themselves to realize the danger we already thought of.”

“Now look at all this crunched up glass and dirt, blowing around. It don’t take a shrink to realize these guys flipped out, nosiree.”

The reporter pressed on. “Is that your professional opinion?”

“C’mon, Jake, let’s get some lunch.”
