Rory’s 3.2.1. Quote Me

The first wordsmith I introduced to my children was Dr. Seuss, who had a lesson in every quirky character’s story, expanding their ideas of perception and the “norm”. Learning to read was fun instead of the first school primers (Dick and Jane) I had as a child.

Christine’s Daily Writing Prompt 12-10-19

Where’s the candles

For the menorah

I’ve asked dad,

You ask Nora

🕎

It was all sitting here

Neat as can be

I set it all up

Even the tree!

🌳

Look under the table

Or in the closet

It must be somewhere

Oh no, look, a deposit!

🐾

Goblins have been here

Left us a treat

Tiny footprints

From their muddy feet

🍄

They must have come from the garden display

There was no snow, it’s been raining all day.

Gather your umbrellas and mittens you’ll need

We’ll search out the garden and items retrieve.

Hearings

An ocean of documents

Coming to us live

Newsroom cluttered

Reporters snuffed

Lies hang in the balance

Pools of dribble and discontent

Where is the truth

It won’t set him free.
