What Day is it? 3-24-20

I’m here, I’m laughing and in a great mood. Here ya go–passing it on to you, got it? ❤️😄❤️! I woke up to heavy pounding and scraping. Apparently they are redoing the apartment above me. . .again. People that live above me must be really hard on their area!

But the topper that made me laugh was seeing an excerpt from Jimmy Kimmel’s at home show – he said people were so desperate for TP they are buying bidets and if really, really desperate, they could buy Sodastream. I guess it may only be funny to me, but made my day. So smiling, drinking coffee and emailing back and forth to my sisters in New England. They just received ten inches of heavy wet snow!

My phone upgraded last night and when I wrote an email, it was in two other different languages, Italian and Vietnamese! Living in probably the whitest area of America besides possibly North Dakota, I doubt my phone would have use for these languages. It was another reason to laugh, but finally got it corrected–Another reason to dislike upgrades. Maybe upgrades are just another way to gather more of your personal, supposedly private info to spread around, sell, whatever they do with it.

So basically a great day so far. I have chicken and dumplings or spaghetti left overs for meals today, so yea – no cooking! Stay warm, dry and well. 🥰

dVerse Poets Quadrille #100

I am lucky

That’s what I say

I can feel the magic in the everyday

It happens often

In a word or in a sight

Of a baby sweet or in laughter of a child

Magic happens all around

If you take the time.

Here I am again! After emailing with my sister back and forth with recipes, etc, we both remembered pulling carrots out of the ground, wiping them off on our jeans and chomping on them. I brought up shelling peas and pinching off the ends of green beans. Husking corn was not my favorite!😄

What blessed children we were!

MLMM Wordle #182 – 3-23-20

When she saw the huge bird fly onto the windowsill with its wriggling prey, she tried to put her mind somewhere else, thinking of a blue horizon and this horrid nightmare was only that, a black dream. But then it flew and settled next to her on the bed, and she was frozen to the spot, all the while not able to understand the grisly smile on her captor’s face. She was stranded and put her trust in a charming stranger. It was only the rough handling up a stairway and locking the door behind them when rampant fear overwhelmed her.

She watched the incomprehensible from stained bed sheets, where the indentations of the night before remained. She had been conquered but still alive, and the fear inside had not diminished. He stood in the corner observing her horror as the omophogus raven pulled at the rat’s flesh. She wondered if she would be the next victim of the vicious bird, and looked again at her captor. He seemed almost in a fascinated trance, watching the bird peck and pull at the rat.

She tensed at the thought and shivered as a cold wind blew in behind the raven. Reaching for a covering that was slung to the side the night before, she wrapped it around her, but was not warmed as the chilling sight continued. What else could he do, would he do, as the raven approached closer and brought a shriek of fear. She pulled the cover over her mouth to muffle her scream.
