Laughing with old friends brings nostalgia.

Limit gatherings isn’t new to me since I live by myself and there is such turnover in the apartment complex we really don’t get to know each other. This lifestyle is very different than living in a small town in Colorado where everyone knew each other and their business🙄. Most of the time I miss that. Today I chose “Just the Two of Us” sung by Bill Withers who sadly, we lost this week.

Looking through some photos on my phone, found this one I thought might give you a laugh. Parties’ names not withheld to protect the innocent and guilty😄 Sorry guys.

Is it me, a question I often ask in this distant universe of blogging? The answer is often, yes, why don’t you give up and quit bothering us? WP seems to want to fight, control and determine how I write, present a portrait or position words, pictures, quotes, etc, and no matter how I try, how frustrated I get, the end product is not what I envisioned, even if the preview is.
This humdrum activity on my blog is concerning, as it seems only to get worse. I often think I should pack it all in and give up, but then who am I kidding? At my age my memory and experiences are things that get me through the day. And of course I choose to share them with all of you.
So despite my ongoing battle, I keep up my blathering scribble, a needed distraction these days.🤷🏼♀️🤦🏼♀️🙋🏼♀️

Daunting to her small body, the last breaths of life made the journey seem impossible. Pulling herself up each step, she realized mistakes made and became fully aware. Her only salvation would be to reach the top. Her redemption lay beyond the bridge, only a few more steps to go.

Reminds me of what my grandparents meant when they said ” we’re all going to hell in a handbasket“. The words incredible and ridiculous and what? are now the everyday expressions as T and “his people” speak. Daily I think, how is this happening, how does he manage to have this much power?https://rugby843.blog

Searching for a sign of life, no one on the streets
Looking for the friends she needs, hoping for a meet
No one here for her to find, the world is now deplete.

I have a secret keepsake
Hidden in my drawer
A gift from a secret person
Whom I couldn’t ask for more
Given at a different time
And place in each our lives
A golden heart meant for love
One that could not thrive
A keepsake for a memory survived.

The news came over the wire
A warning seemingly dire
Causing dismissive brains to fire
As in ignorance they used to mire
Leaders wakened, preach to the choir
The voice of which we always tire.
