Here in the US, it is Mother’s Day and I hope you are all sending greetings in some way to your mothers. Believe me, they deserve it😊

This hatred and violence will continue until we demand justice.
We’re certainly not getting it from the top officials in our country. Justice from the top Supreme Court on down to local authorities is being refueled with this type of men and women. This needs to stop!

Home is where the heart is—truer words never written. The home, the hearth, the center of your personal world, where everything happens, intentional and not. The haven, the heaven, all is what you decide to make it. It takes a lot of work to make a space for yourself or with your family. Success is determined by you, your personality, your efforts, your determination. Work, whether it be in the structure itself or the amenities you enjoy, the outside surroundings or the inside corners. It really is up to you as one or part of a group to furnish your home with the essentials of life as a shelter from the outside storms.

Evergreens danced to the rhythm of the breeze, needled arms swaying to the tune. The evening forest played enchanting melodies of hooting owls and cooing doves, while the wind was a howling wolf.
Okay, I did cave. Seems like I’m living in one anyway, cold inside and warm and sunny outside, at least for a few days. Snow is always right around the corner, and the wind? 🙄. I say cave because I did buy ice cream in my instacart order and I did have some yesterday. Like most things nowadays that I’m really looking forward to, it was just okay, not the huge mood booster I was hoping for. Sort of blah. . .many things seem blah now. Reading the news is mostly the same thing everyday, although always some fresh hell from T and boy am I sick of seeing his image everywhere! This is stream of consciousness, remember, and I guess today it’s a little muddy.

I was putting away some poetry notes and noticed the timing of the Etheree–1-10 syllables, no rhymes. And of course my target? Guess.
Trump
Teflon
Dictator
Seeming heartless
Professing knowledge
Is always thinking “Trump”
Disparages all experts
Takes no responsibility
Invents his own selfish rules and laws
When will this political nightmare end?

“I gave up on feeling brave a long time ago.” Joe spooned the cold rations into his mouth, thinking this might be the last of such nourishment and he might as well try to enjoy it. “Not my mother’s Irish stew, eh, Jack?” Both men were tired and sore from sleeping on rocky soil.
“Brave is what you have to be to eat this!” Jack threw the container into his knapsack and decided to wait till supper time to eat it. It did give basic nutrition of sorts, but he wanted to wait as long as he could before eating it. “You’d think we would be better fed, but I guess we should consider ourselves lucky to have this!” The two had been on patrol in a nearby village where even children were starving.
“Those wee kids are the brave ones.”

Not being a king or a queen, the fact is I’m glad I’m not royalty. Who would want that? There’s enough pressure just being a woman, wife, mother, or grandma! Erma Bombeck wrote a book titled: “The Grass is Always Greener Over the Septic Tank”. Think about it. . . Erma quotes:

My daughter, husband and kids are moving today into a new home, a 1908 built treasure. I’m not sure how I feel about it, happy for them, but it feels weird for some reason. Egads, am I turning into that person who hates change? Hmmm. Stay well everyone, stay home when you can, stay safe.
