Who knew we would still be alive and kicking in May 2021? May I just say I am relieved! My family is vaccinated except for the two youngest grandkids and all is well. May brings a confirmation on Sunday and a high school graduation on the 28th. Mother’s Day fits in this month along with May 1st childhood favorite – Mayday. We picked flowers for baskets to secretly put on neighbors’ doors, and our one room school house danced around a maypole. Gotta love May!

Bert’s day began like any other, a quick swim, grabbing a few bites flying about and then just floating around on the lake. It was an easy life really, and even though he found it a bit boring at times, he was grateful.

Deciding he would meet Murray in the next cove for their daily chat, he was airborne for only a few seconds when something hit him , hard! Apparently they both had forgotten to look at their calendars to note hunting season had begun.

As Murray sorrowfully watched, Bert landed in an awkward clump, his uneventful life was over.

Thought I would take a trip into the NRA world. If you’ve never been, it will open your eyes to an organization that is in the forefront of violent attacks, mass shootings and more here in the USA. The video I put on yesterday of the current CEO of the NRA should urge you to see just what and who is behind this “organization for civil rights”.

You may have watched the video yesterday, a sickening depiction of what “wise use of renewable wildlife resources” actually means to these people, shown in full dying color. It was sickening, but should open your eyes to what is behind this so called patriotic sham. Take a look at their website as I did and then take a really hot shower. You’re going to need one.

This is why we have violence here in America, because idiots like this killing innocent calm elephants boosts their ego. It is more than sickening and I thank the New Yorker for bringing it to our attention.
