As I wait at my table, a sigh passes my lips, contemplating whether to defy my usual generous figure of a tip which is above the norm, giving a lift to my server, or give well below the required twenty percent, to teach him to sow better food delivery functions in the future; although it would probably fly right by his intellect and blow any lesson learned.

Sensual opium trespassed my palate as she reached out for me–her touch made me heady, a gorgeous gesture imparted after many months of separation. There was no caprice in her manner, no hesitation, only a warm cascade of sensation as her lips met mine. I thought it impossible to further magnify my feelings of love for her, but when we finally met again after this long absence, it seemed as if my elastic heart swelled anew.

Oak tree swinging dreams
Imagination transport
Feeling openness
Fingers tightly grasp the ropes
Youthful thoughts start flying free

D is for devil. Whatever or even if there is a devil, “it” takes the blame whenever we humans decide to stretch the limits of so-called propriety. Everyone’s idea of the proper thing to say or do is different, so who is right or wrong and knows best? Your guess is as good as mine. The devil is in the details I expect.

On Netflix, a 1999 movie starring Clive Owens–a treat in itself–as the “Croupier”, someone who is in charge of a gambling table.

Never disparage the race of the young
Hormones blazing, acting on them
There is no tranquil moment in that first kiss.

I thought it an err in his judgement
And saw the will as a punishment
I’m his only heir
Just wasn’t fair
When his cats received somuchofit.
He thought my unreliable funds base
And my “calling” as a disgrace
Even said so right to my face
But fans love me playing the bass.

I bought this because the cover spoke to me😉 and as soon as I got home I started reading and only put it down to sleep. Finished it today and loved it. It has many worthy passages with memorable quotes. Enjoy!
Note: I could not get the wandering words site to load so sent this to you

You may think it absurd
When listening to a song or reading a word
It invokes such emotion
Or forgotten notion
And I end up in tears
Or remembered fears
Words come and go like spring snow
But remain in my heart
Never apart
My brain thinks one thing, my heart another
Could be relief or something other
Than a memory.
