Okay, I endured the dressing up. I endured the humility of wearing a piece of people clothing. Notice I didn’t say human, because there is no humanity in dressing up a dignified animal, moi, in human attire. You may wear anything you choose and sometimes remain naked. Should not I have the same privilege? And now we’re in the car, hallelujah! Time for a vet appointment? Another no choice option. How long has it been since you had a physical? See? No equality here, madam! Wait till we get home and I’ll show you how I appreciate my outing.

I live in Wyoming and in our outing yesterday we were the only ones wearing masks—adults and children alike—craziness! I do not understand it.

A get together with grandkids since they were home from college and a trip to the mall. Then lunch from a drive-thru and the usual conversation and laughs. Always ending up at Barnes and Noble to browse but no purchases since all of us had a couple of books at home we needed to read first.

As usual, these car trips involve listening to their latest music favorites—sometimes the age gap comes to play. I always learn a new phrase, this time it was SMH which I’ve seen but never looked up—and in case you’re near my age, it means shake my head. I thought it hilarious. I need these outings to keep myself informed about important things 😂

At least I already knew who BTS and Glass Animals were! It’s not easy keeping up☺️ Someone mentioned green door and I said, that’s a great old song. Polite kids listened to it but there’s definitely a generation gap in music. 😉

“A white sport coat and a pink carnation” was playing in the background. The restaurant was average but the food delicious. I asked the chef for the specials of the night.

A first date, wanting to impress on a limited budget, I planned ahead. In cooperation with my waiter friend, he suggested the three specials that I could afford. She seemed happy with that so when served, I started to relax. Luckily she was a teetotaler so no added beverages to pay for.

You may think I was acting on the cheap, and I guess I was, but she was impressed nevertheless. Any man worth his salt would try to do his best even if it takes a little conniving.
