The lavish gypsy dress and surroundings of the clairvoyant shown delightfully in the flickering candlelight. If she was indeed their top spy, we were thankful to purport a fairly innocent demeanor. Our mission was to conduct a surreptitious recon of her surroundings and report back to our superiors. Posing as tourists wearing tank tops and sandals, we hoped our disguise worked. If not it would be a short trip to jail on the island.

Abscission

I feel like a plant

And offer a rant

After a major decision

I’m suffering abscission!

It wasn’t planned so that’s a hint

Thought I could do it but obvious didn’t

Seemed a simple task at the time

Just have a drink and add a lime

The knife was sharp as recommended it be

But it slipped and I think it attacked me

One end of the lime was sitting there

Along with a finger tip in the air

Now I’m sitting in the ER

If I want a drink I’ll go to a bar!

Understanding

Our own minds, the decisions we make, how we arrive at certain conclusions, is difficult enough. Trying to make sense out of someone else’s decisions that we don’t necessarily agree with is mind boggling.

For the most part I would say my fellow followers—say that three times fast—and I agree on most subjects. That’s why we read other’s blogs and try to understand their point of view—kismet🥳. That’s the easy part. The hard part is trying to comprehend some radicals these days. And right there, choosing “radical” to describe “them” has already made my mind up…🙄😳😂

Life had just seemed to pass me by until that day when….

that familiar knock was heard again. How could it be? I didn’t think he’d find me, but always hoping he would. The four taps and two knocks; I heard it again. I couldn’t help the smile spreading across my face, and that feeling in the pit of my stomach.

I wheeled to the door, hesitated, and then opened. He stood there holding my favorite flower and a sheepish grin. “Howya been, mate?”
