“Look at them sharing a toast to him, and everyone with a clink of the glass says this creation deserves recognition. The color is a good choice but that cut out design and the black under garments? What an atrocity are they celebrating!”

It all started with paper stars and green fizz. It was not going to be your typical baby shower! Even though only a few knew the “origin” of the expected infant, many were invited to celebrate. It was an ominous but finely anticipated event to see the newborn—the result of the first Martian/Human “connection”.

Compromise is the name of the game — you can either do it or not, always a choice you have to make. Sometimes it’s on the spur of the moment and your first thoughts rule. Well, that’s my experience anyway.

Anything that takes a lot of thought time is a lot harder. So it’s probably best to try to think ahead about what you might do in a situation that requires a compromise with you needing to take the hit.

Seriously though, taking the hit is not so bad, usually—you will be okay and even be glad you did.

The pattern was tasteful but the bright hot pink paint gave Joe, holder of the cruse, pause. He had shelled out most of his current pocket’s capital for this potato concoction on the advice of fellow coworkers. Every Friday a woman earned a few dollars for her homemade offerings, which were as some said, “beyond compare”.

The mug was full of creamy ingredients and did nothing to help quell a stomach’s lurch from last night’s hangover. He felt obligated as she dealt out mugs for all in the office lunchroom. A sip was all it took and Joe suddenly left the room.
