MLMM Photo Challenge #280 – 9/11

Flowing from a broken heart

Sadness lightens through the years

Memories never forgotten

Pain of sorrowful acts remains

Turns from black to grey.

***

We will never forget the horrors of 9/11 and the men women and children who we lost, or the emergency service people who responded.

Fandango’s FFC#31

The child reaches, seeing the vision of a perfect world.

The teenager reaches and sees vulnerability.

The adult reaches and sees a dream to fulfill.

The elder no longer reaches, knowing he is a traitor to this vision.

Terrible Poetry Contest – Clearly 🙄😎

Sniffing, ewww

Was that you

The inconsiderate who

Used my towel?

Now it’s damp and dirty

Smells disgusting, diserty

Odors quite unfamiliar

Reminiscent of feet–I shiver

Did you ever think of soap

Not reachable on a rope?

That must be your excuse

My towels are not for you to use!

MLMM Wordle – Frank’s Futile Folly

Frank flinched as he raised the cracked sweet potato to his nose. His decision to see if it was spoiled, using the sniff test, took him back to the days of green composting. Overtones of many causes formed in his brain, and for a moment he stood motionless in the garden, thinking what could banalize this sweet vegetable.

Eliding a sudden sickening taste in his throat, he noticed movement out of the corner of his eye. The culprit tried to hide himself, but Frank knew his vegetable garden was prey to a roughshod raccoon.

50 Word Thursday – 9-10-19

***

This vista in the future looks inviting. A long unencumbered road for weary feet, longing to seek their destiny. It is quite long you think, plenty of time to realize every dream. Traveling quietly, softly, enjoying your surroundings, noticing the beauty of it all. The realized dream is the noticing.

FOWC: Guileless

Where’s the guileless child

Soccer, legos, catching frogs

Disappearing so quickly

Now a teenage beauty

Trying on school dance gowns

So grownup, wiser, yet

Still guileless in the world.

***

I spent yesterday with my thirteen year old granddaughter, watched her grow up in an instant as she emerged from the dressing room in a full length gown. Oh, my heart🥰.

Twittering Tales #153

Moonlight peeks

Blinds will not hide me

Cover my head

Snuggle down

Dreams will surely come to me

Save me from the real

〰️

Dominant

Moonbeam shadows creep

Eyes refuse to remain closed

Nightmare visions invade surroundings

Where the black and blue of past life resides

〰️

Daylight hope waits for me
