Frank flinched as he raised the cracked sweet potato to his nose. His decision to see if it was spoiled, using the sniff test, took him back to the days of green composting. Overtones of many causes formed in his brain, and for a moment he stood motionless in the garden, thinking what could banalize this sweet vegetable.
Eliding a sudden sickening taste in his throat, he noticed movement out of the corner of his eye. The culprit tried to hide himself, but Frank knew his vegetable garden was prey to a roughshod raccoon.
