The church bazaar was in full swing, as the wares for sale were spread on white tablecloths.
“These cookies look yummy! And the decorations are just beautiful!” Little Amy takes one from the table and bites into it. “Yikes! I think I broke my tooth!” Amy starts crying.
The bishop’s wife runs over. “Oh, I’m so sorry! Those are for hanging on the tree! They aren’t edible! Are you all right, Amy?”
Amy’s mom replies, “No worries, she was about to lose that baby tooth anyway.”
Shortly after, a sign was put up over the beautiful cookies: “Not edible, decorating only”.

Well how did everyone’s year go? I think mine just slipped by in a hurry. I guess that comes with age. In fact I just remembered last week I was a year older! Egads! I couldn’t possibly be that age! Then of course that horrid device, the mirror proves it true. I wonder if the cavemen or women ever tried to see their reflection in a lake? I wonder what they thought?
Only New Year’s Eve to go and we settle in for my worst month, the long, cold January. Oh well, I wonder what 2020 will bring us? A new President? We can always hope.

I have a Monday Peeve.
I have a new phone. I want to set up voicemail. I followed instructions on phone, then tried YouTube, and finally the 611 number they give you for help. After multiple tries to get them to answer “how can I set it up when they ask for a pin or password that I don’t have because it’s not set up yet?”. After various texts back and forth, they repeating questions, me repeating answers, I get this: “Stay on the line, someone will be with you in 27 minutes.”
I texted back: “You call me, I’m not waiting on hold for 27 minutes.” Naturally I have heard nothing. Maybe they’ll try to leave a message on voicemail!🤯😂. After a whole two days trying to set this up, going to the online addresses they give, etc. I’m done. Maybe I need a three year old to come over and do it. Otherwise, it’s a catch22.
Oh and even though I gave no permission to do so, Apple upgraded my iPad again. I can hardly wait to see what new hell they’ve handed me now. 🥴😱
