“I say George, is that Matilda out there on that sailboat? My word! She certainly tries to get everyone’s attention. Look at that bikini she’s almost wearing! My god! Heaven help us if she decides to bend over! George? George, I’m talking to you!”
George pretends not to hear his wife as he tightens the lens on his binoculars.

“Ah, my deah, you look perfectly dazzling in that gown. A mahvalous choice to meet the prince of the palace!”
Beatrice rolled her eyes as she turned away from the matron. Everyone knew she said those exact words to every ingenue who was invited to the evening ball.

A lovely assignment he thought as he pirated a bouquet from the owner’s garden. He loved this type of job, presenting himself as a troubadour for a lovely lady. It was his delight to see the look on the old women’s faces as they were transported back to their youth of courtship and beaus calling. Once in a while his singing visit would end up in a friendship, the most delightful aspect of his profession.

Sing a song of sixpence
Make it short and sweet
Put your pennies in the cup
Keep time with your feet
You could even dance a jig
We certainly wouldn’t mind
While Harry on his drum set helps you stay in line
Georgie with his trumpet blasts our ears with tunes
And hearing Joseph’s violin makes the ladies swoon
A concert you say maybe,
You’re not exactly sure
We’re suffering the holidays
And music is a cure.
A vicar, an inspector, a housekeeper and a murder mystery. Comic banter, beautiful scenery, a friendship to be envied and it all begins in the fifties. What could be better?
Available on Prime and others.
Watching it from the beginning, season one, episode one, again. . .♥️

My comments:
#1 If you are a witch you deserve it
#2. By all means, build up that wall because that’s where all those mob insurgents are coming from.

The two series I enjoyed recently are both from PBS: Press and All Creatures Great and Small.

I object to this Trump statue object on display, surely an object more appealing is in order, so true patriots would not object to entering the museum.

He sits there with that satisfied smile
Revolting as chocolate chip bile
After a trip to the sea
Was no pleasure for me–
Just as cold and unpleasant as he.
