Jim pulled back the canvas flap on the tent to canvass the damage. They never expected the attack but now it was time for the next little guy to be born and there was no bourn of thought that he wouldn’t make it. The mother was strong; nothing was going to hold her back, as she had borne two of the triplets already.

I remember laying stretched out on my stomach on the braided rug—which our home had many, in the living room mesmerized for a short time by a small black and white television. It didn’t take long for us to return to books because at that time it was a blurry picture of snow, and the show was Friday night fights which didn’t interest me much.
Your Friday prompt for Stream of Consciousness Saturday is “cam.” Find a word that contains “cam” or use it as is. Enjoy!

This old jalopy needs a new timing belt and a fresh set of cams. This sorting, packing and moving has worn them out and the exhaust system is overloaded. There are no repair shops willing to work on my system, it’s too outdated and new parts cannot be found even in junk yards. I guess I’ll just have to do my best to get this old model on the road again.
Is it Saturday? My sleep schedule is so messed up between the time change, stress of moving and family happenings, I am lucky to get two hours of actual sleep in a row!

I immediately thought enchanted, as he seemed to float into my presence; so smoothly, seductively, did he touch my shoulder in his greeting. I may have been under a spell as his touch reverberated through me, as if reaching into my very soul. My eyes seemed transfixed on his incredibly deep blue eyes. If there really was a Svengali, I think I met him.
Cold and high winds gusting to 65mph today are typical winter fare for Cheyenne. You need a flak jacket just to take the trash!
Countdown is 13 days till move into new apartment, and even though I’m nervous about it, I am committed. My grandson came over the other night and got me started, taking down pictures and curtains. Then asked, do you feel naked yet? I said no, thinking of all the little stuff that needed to be wrapped in bubbles and not looking forward to doing that. This (handy)?? tape dispenser is supposed to be easy—not.
I’m not moving my king sized bed, and glad to be rid of it. It takes forever to make and unmake it to launder. “Picture it” as Sophia would say, squirming around trying to put the sheets on, or maybe you shouldn’t 😂 At least I’m not going to Shady Pines!
But I am starting to feel naked. I have two heavy desk drawers and a Fibber McGee closet left to do, so I’m on a roll, literally. Oh I crack myself up 🤯😱🙄.
Have a great day and take time to remember the fallen.
