Too Much Tech

I may need a *supplement* of the calming kind.
Is there a popular one to destress my mind?
There seems to be a *sinister* trend about.
One I could certainly do without.
Allegedly there’s an *infinite* supply
of how to do everything and why.
Is it available on google, I *yearn?*
Oh where can I turn to learn?
The little circle goes round and round.
Luckily it has no sound.
I’ll use a pencil, and paper instead and then

Q for Quetzalcoatl, a deity in Aztec culture and literature. Among the Aztecs, it was related to wind, Venus, Sun, merchants, arts, crafts, knowledge, and learning. It was also the patron god of the Aztec priesthood.

Quetzalcóatl was particularly venerated in the calmecac, religious colleges annexed to the temples, in which the future priests and the sons of the nobility were educated.

How many revolutions this time, she thought to herself as she spun the ring again. It was off her finger permanently now, no longer resting proudly as a reminder she was married. Only four? That’s more than the number of years we were together.

P for Pegasus, one of the best mythical creatures! He’s a winged divine stallion, usually depicted as pure white in color, in Greek mythology. He was sired by Poseidon, who presided over the sea, storms, earthquakes and horses. Greco Roman poets wrote about his ascent to heaven after his birth and his obeisance to Zeus, king of the gods, and instructed him to bring lightning and thunder from Olympus.

Story behind Smoke on the Water:

When Frank Zappa and The Mothers took to the stage they began to perform their irreverent and intellectual music. Playful and poised, the set was a magical ride until the moment a deranged fan moved through the crowd and fired a flare gun at the band.

The venue’s heating system then exploded, starting a fire which would sadly leave several fans injured, the band’s equipment destroyed, and the venue in smouldering ruins. Though the injuries suffered by fans were tragic, it could have been so much worse. Yet it also saw the birth of one of the most famous songs ever written, Deep Purple’s ‘Smoke on the Water’. The group were in Montreux ready to record their new album at the venue when the horrific events occurred.

MLMM Wordle 318

The omission in the contract form should have given me a clue. It’s always good to read the small print, but I had been a miner for over twenty years, and thought any declaration of possible threats was already experienced by me. So far my fate in any type of mine was in the high percent of good, and I was a practical man. I wouldn’t let my fear of the closed space and dangers dominate my perspective.
Then I saw people running, my coworkers of many years, leaving the mine in haste. I hadn’t heard any sounds of warning and decided to check out the area myself. My good thoughts were premature and I gasped as I saw a monstrous cloud of gas and smoke erupt from the mine opening. I caught up with my fellow workers and we all waited until the workplace was safe again. Then we all took the rest of the day off and went home thankful to be safe with our loved ones.
