No Theme Thursday

Standing regal above the crowd, she thought of how she should begin. She was still overwhelmed by achieving this stature. Beautiful, yes, intelligent and wise, yes, but still a woman. It would take everything she had to rule this kingdom. Her first priority was to bring her brother Elam back from the field. He would secure the loyal army for her. Sammiscribbles Weekend Writing Prompt

Vicissitude of a Plant

A humble stalk, slightly green, sitting in rich soil, thinks of the future. “Will I be a tall and lustrous hollyhock, regal looking, with large red blossoms defying the idea I am merely a “plant” or will I be a humbled daisy in a field of many? Daisies’ history of being a decision maker for young lovers who ask if they are loved or not? Quite an influence I say. Or could I be the most romantic bud of all, beautifully scented, a passionate red rose?”
