Friday here, and the prompt is tin. I thought of the spice containers I used to have and of course my mom and grandmothers. I still have some of these. Yes I admit it! No, I don’t use their contents.

Then I saw this, so passing it on:

I AM one of those elderly relatives! ; )

MLMM Photo Challenge #243

I see you looking at me. Do I remind you of someone? This bus as you call it, very convenient. Why keep staring? Do I look out of place? I haven’t been able to exchange my lira for American money yet, so my appearance is less than modern.

Shall I tell you my story? After Leo painted my portrait, he smuggled me out of Italy to France where we had an “arrangement”. My husband was planning on selling me as a slave and Leo saved me. How am I here? Leo’s friend, a fellow inventor, was experimenting with the concept of time travel. I wanted to get away, anywhere from my husband, so I asked to be the first to try it. Unfortunately I was transported to the future for three centuries, and here I am.

I seem to be receiving many strange looks but do not know why.

Three Line Tales #151 – Blurred Vision

Mary dreamed of seeing this old carousel again. As a child it brought lots of smiles, actually was her favorite carnival ride. Her mother brought her every day the carnival was in town, way back then.

Mary’s childhood seemed ideal. Loving parents, modest warm home, and then there were always things to look forward to, such as the summer when the carnival came to town.

This year Mary decided to go home in the summer but when she found her parents ill and her home in shambles from neglect, Mary’s memories vanished into reality. Even the carousel had turned dark.

MLMM Wordle #214 – On the Road

Looking in the mirror, Joe’s first thought was, “I look like she put a hex on me! This sober lifestyle is counterintuitive to my health! No longer the life of the party by reputation, but brooding and moody. Maybe I’ll calculate putting myself up for ransom. My old dealers would appease, even think themselves fortunate not to have lost their best customer. This salubrious living is bringing me down, man. She said she loves me, trying to train me to change my ways. Recovery is a misnomer.”
