I am a widow since 2013 and live by myself in a small apartment. I use a wheelchair to get around, but I wouldn't consider myself disabled. I'm 11 years away from having bladder cancer resulting in a urostomy and I'm doing well. This cancer was a result of having radiation in 1995 because of uterine cancer. So have faith in yourself, a cancer diagnosis is not a death sentence. My first try at blogging was an attempt to help other people with my condition. I am a mother of three married children, and a grandmother to eight gorgeous kids, featuring them often here, and a great grandmother to two as of today, 6/7/25! I enjoy exploring my feelings and like to try the challenges. I like humor, music, movies, games, and some sports. I absolutely appreciate your reading and commenting on my blog. I am happy to read all of your blogs and learn more about you. Please comment however you like, ask whatever, and I'll answer honestly. Thanks for reading! Cheryl
American Sentence: Invented by Allen Ginsberg. – Poets Collective
An American haiku variation. 17 syllables written in a sentence. Any topic –So, the qualities of such a sentence? Like most other good poetry it should be Imagistic, with that gap of meaning between the writer and the reader; ie: phenomenology. Some kind of juxtaposition helps create a tension.
Dream adventure lies ahead, smooth skimming in blue heaven surround.
“It was meant to determine how strong you really are. You are such an affable guy, seemingly slow on the uptake when it comes to gossip about your coworkers, everyone thinks you’re a bit of a shilly-shally. Personally, I think you are fresh as a mint after a spicy hot lunch!”

“In Durham, N.C., the Bulls minor league baseball team has one asset no other can claim: a poetry-loving groupie named Annie Savoy (Susan Sarandon). As the team’s season begins, Annie selects brash new recruit Ebby Calvin Laloosh (Tim Robbins), whom she christens “Nuke,” to inspire with the religion of baseball. Nuke also receives guidance from veteran player Crash Davis (Kevin Costner), who settles Nuke’s erratic pitching and teaches him to follow the catcher’s lead.”
Ordinarily I look at your mundane scripts and peruse them in a blur of incredulity. Each week I try to read your ideas with an amount of hope, giving you every inch of a yard of the talent I must have misconstrued. As I open your file, I awaken to another stodgy diatribe of beatitude. If I’m being honest here, Joe, this just doesn’t cut it with the younger generation or the station chief. We are a fairly new streaming service and the only way we are going to stay in the game is to appeal to the younger audience.
Very difficult as I do not have access to my old poems – only through an old android phone which doesn’t work well. I picked one from January through December in order. Apparently I don’t do as many poems as I thought🙄😂
Once upon a time an old lady was sleeping peacefully and suddenly awoke to a familiar refrain…was she back on the farm where she grew up? Delightful! But as she opened her eyes she knew it was only a dream.
Every couple of minutes I get a junk text, “report and delete junk” pushed and it never stops…that’s one…second is the so called helper chat…anyone ever have anything settled by those? Third…oh yes there’s more but I’ll just let you watch the video. “Network” was made in 1976…47 years ago!
“In this lauded satire, veteran news anchorman Howard Beale (Peter Finch) discovers that he’s being put out to pasture, and he’s none too happy about it. After threatening to shoot himself on live television, instead he launches into an angry televised rant, which turns out to be a huge ratings boost for the UBS network. This stunt allows ambitious producer Diana Christensen (Faye Dunaway) to develop even more outrageous programming, a concept that she takes to unsettling extremes.”
I don’t think I can do any blogging today, I’m too mad.
Reversal, hmmm I don’t do much of that and besides, once it’s out of the bag, what good is it? A person like me has strong opinions and even though I’ve reversed a few in my lifetime, it isn’t my usual MO. 🤷🏼♀️
