Rory’s Morning Dawdler

What is the best way to cook an egg, and what is your favourite egg dish? Any way is okay but I like poached on toast, egg salad, and fried egg sandwiches, and scrambled at a restaurant. Plain boiled is a great snack.😋

What makes for a good listener, and are you one, or do you only hear people as noise? I try to be a good listener.😎

How well can you control your emotions, and is it hard to keep them in check with moments and times when you feel passionate or angry with others or situations? If you read my blog you know I’m a very emotional person and the older I get the harder it is not to cry whether happy or sad. I have lessened in my anger in situations because really, I’m helpless to actually act on it🙄

Is it necessary for you to be remembered by others for your contribution to life? Nope.

The Sunday Whirl

The crowded gathering would disrupt the weapon craft challenge but a lockdown would ensure that the danger and hunt for the murderer be contained. It was unnerving to see flesh cut like that in such a grisly way but the “design” was clear. The ancient symbol was familiar to the crowd. They were helpless to watch as the grisly murder occurred. The rest of the broken glass was shattered but the jagged bloody weapon still laid across the body.

Reena’s Exploration Challenge – Time did not march on

The professor pointed out a graph on the chart as he placed the ancient time map on the easel. He was amused to see his flock of students wrapt in attention. It was only a copy given to him in a secret exchange by a fellow teacher. Such documents were forbidden now. The students had never seen anything digital before and they were mesmerized. There were no more neon displays of anything, let alone a timepiece. The old professor explained this was a typical clock back in the twenty-first century. Further, he explained the graph description showing years, weeks and months along with a twenty-four hour day which could be seen on the neon display.

Sammiscribbles Weekend Writing Prompt

I am such a lucky grandmother. I have eight unique grandchildren and all have various talents. The loquacious boy who was adopted from Korea in 2003 and abandoned by his family because he was born with only nubs for arms. Such an amazing little genius surprised us in every way. He was stubborn and insisted on doing everything himself. One day I found him, small barely walking, controlling the remote with his toes. He is funny, loves to joke and his laugh’s contagious. I miss him—away in college now.

Rory’s Questions

1. I am currently listening to “Brothersong” by TJ Klune (for the second time). The author is going to be in Manchester VT but of course I’m two thousand miles away. I have read most of his books❤️. I don’t watch much on television but started again last night with “Inspector Lewis” on PBS.
2. I’m pretty much a plain food person but used to like peanut butter and mustard sandwiches. My sister and I used to make them for each other and put in a blob of horseradish as a surprise. We’d pack them up and tromp off to the woods. We had to finish the entire sandwich😂.
3. This new apartment complex for over fifty residences no longer holds surprises. After a year living here, the residents sometimes act like teenagers, a lot of cliques, gossip, fighting, singing in hall, police visits, and ambulances no longer stir me to see what’s going on.
4. To each his own I guess😂

Murphy’s law, fate, karma—once again it takes over and we think, “you can count on it”. It may be thought of as a fatalist attitude, but I would argue that we tend to make the same (mistakes) repeatedly. A streak of bad luck is Murphy sitting on my roof. Then there’s the bad things happen in threes originated from the trenches in war and a soldier striking a match, holding it long enough to light three cigarettes. I think that old saying was only a truth. The number three has a lot of history. There are few things in today’s world you can count on with certainty and I hope yours are all good!

Cyranny’s 1MinFic

She sat across the street, waiting. She thought she was being discreet but then her old boyfriend suddenly came out the door. She was shocked as he quickly ran toward her car. She started the engine, threw the car in reverse to get out of the parking space, ran into the car parked behind her, then threw it in drive and bumped the car parked ahead of her. So much for being discreet she thought, looking at the man she loved who fell back laughing. “Thought you didn’t care!” He yelled as he laughed.
