I am a widow since 2013 and live by myself in a small apartment. I use a wheelchair to get around, but I wouldn't consider myself disabled. I'm 11 years away from having bladder cancer resulting in a urostomy and I'm doing well. This cancer was a result of having radiation in 1995 because of uterine cancer. So have faith in yourself, a cancer diagnosis is not a death sentence. My first try at blogging was an attempt to help other people with my condition. I am a mother of three married children, and a grandmother to eight gorgeous kids, featuring them often here, and a great grandmother to two as of today, 6/7/25! I enjoy exploring my feelings and like to try the challenges. I like humor, music, movies, games, and some sports. I absolutely appreciate your reading and commenting on my blog. Six Sentence Story

Surrounded by green, the forest is flush with ferns. We hadn’t bought this property with the idea of building on it, just wanted a piece of my family’s mountain. We didn’t see it before we plopped down the payment and we decided it was time to let our kids see the area where I grew up. We knew it had a fresh water spring and that’s about it. The dirt path substituting for a road led us into this scene from a fairytale. Thick with trees and huge delicate fern fronds up to my chest, it was as if I was dreaming.

They wear undersized armor, ride ponies instead of large white steeds and fight as valiantly as their bigger brothers in arms. Valights usually complete smaller tasks too important for their squires and it’s not unusual to see them holding their own in a less significant duel. Revenge is Sweet

The layer of plastic created a foul odor as the tsunami of bottles and discarded containers raved upon the shore. It was a wave of putrid trash that engulfed the popular tourist venue. The real carelessness of visitors had caused the small village seem to vanish under the water. No amount of trying to cajole and plead with tourists worked and they would cheat on environmental rules by tossing their items willy-nilly on the beautiful grounds.

Mother Nature decided it was time to retaliate and caused all trash in nearby areas to consume these thoughtless visitors under a huge wave. As it receded, the sight of straggling people sitting in their own mess was a lesson learned.

Absolute power, absolute disintegration of democracy, absolute denigration of we the people. If every vote is questioned and every law changed, where do we end up? We end up with absolute dictatorship in our land built on freedoms. This country began on the idea of escaping strict rules of religion and the separation of church and state was established. Now some politicians want to backpedal into the past. We can’t let this nation resort to their biased and racist ideas.

When I accessed my blog (until last week) my menu had the last item “visit site” which I always did because I could see who looked at my blog with their icons. Now that item is no longer on the menu. I can’t see my blog even when I tried following myself in email. I can read the blog but no icons as to who read or looked at all. This is very frustrating because I can’t see how my blog is doing. I asked WP for help and this is their reply:

Apparently on the “free plan” I receive no help from them at all. But if I Pay them they will gladly help.😡Thanks for nothing, WP! If they can change my menu at their will and discretion, they should be able to change it back, right? And why are they messing with my menu anyway?😡
