I am a widow since 2013 and live by myself in a small apartment. I use a wheelchair to get around, but I wouldn't consider myself disabled. I'm 11 years away from having bladder cancer resulting in a urostomy and I'm doing well. This cancer was a result of having radiation in 1995 because of uterine cancer. So have faith in yourself, a cancer diagnosis is not a death sentence. My first try at blogging was an attempt to help other people with my condition. I am a mother of three married children, and a grandmother to eight gorgeous kids, featuring them often here, and a great grandmother to two as of today, 6/7/25! I enjoy exploring my feelings and like to try the challenges. I like humor, music, movies, games, and some sports. I absolutely appreciate your reading and commenting on my blog. Children aside, do you celebrate your birthday/anniversary or is it just a normal day for you? The fam usually does something for me.
Do/did you always give your child a birthday party when they were young? Yes always.
Would you prefer to give your child a party, or take them and a few friends on a special outing? Weโve done both.
If your child was born on Christmas Day (or a few days either side of the 25th), did they have a โhalf birthdayโ in June, two presents/celebrations, or something else? One of my granddaughters was born on 12/23 so I send her bday early and Christmas on time.

Joe was beside himself, his smile broadening as he relished seeing the emails from his wife to his best friend, Mike. Joe tricked them into revealing their affair online in a TikTok video. Joe tried to be sad about it but now had proved what he had suspected for months.
โYou donโt need that solventโ, Joe complained. โBleach isnโt a necessary level of clean for a simple crumb of bread! I think thereโs a fortune to be had in pushing these harsh cleaning products when soap and water will do.โ
The password refused to print on the bank website so it was back to redoing it. Finding a cromulent word for the premium site was an irritating job. Colorful words stumbled into my mind as I repeated the task. It was taking a toll on my fossil brain! Then finally it got into gear and I decided on the word shippo which means tail in Japanese.

I had a late shower, fixed a latte and washed dishes all apparently loud enough to not hear my phone ringing. I sit on my phone in the wheelchair when Iโm moving about so sound was muffled. I caused a big panic and on Wednesday weโll get an extra key made for my apartmentโjust in case๐
Iโve always had my phone on me since I lived in my old apartment, when I used a scooter instead of a wc most of the time. I fell off the scooter which was heavy and I couldnโt push it away from me in order to get to the phone which was on the bureau so I had to take it apart. After that I could push the smaller pieces aside and I did that old hip exercise we used to do back in the 70s where you scoot along the floor and I was laughing as I did it. I wasnโt hurt but I had to get the phone in order to call someone to come and help me get back up so since then, Iโve always had the phone on me .
All is well and I turned the ringtone up๐๐๐ฅด๐
The singe of a summer sunset glimmered in the heat index of high nineties, as I began searching for a particular scarf needed when the air cools. Another hint of my advancing age felt as I straightened up too quickly beside the bureau and scraped my knee on the drawer. The demons of age visit often now.
Years ago I decided to reside near the sea where I could wade in the cerulean shallows with my also aged companion, Jeeves, my Irish wolfhound. The salt water trickles around our feet, and we see the bonfire is already glowing. All the mothers and grandmothers were arriving to celebrate Motherโs Day.
Only a trifle irritation as I boarded the train to see where flax and its byproduct bysuss was harvested. My intended destination was across the sea to a Mediterranean area named โthe Fertile Crescentโ, but the head of the household said our budget was not that big. The intrinsic value of a flax crop is amazing. It is a lifesaving source of food and the waving fronds suggest an almost biblical image. This fiber has many uses as a good source, such as food, clothing, twine, rope and oil from seeds. Canada, here. Come!
