Sue didn’t want to carry the reputation of being a rich, petty snob and tended to worry that hanging out with Jessie and Mary might paint her with the same brush. It was constantly in her head but she had her pride. She tried talking about it with one of her sisters who suggested she try to get honest support and ideas from the school guidance counselor.
