Cupping the flannel shirt and sniffing his essence, she seemed perplexed. She left him, and didn’t know if that was the right decision. She held the soft material close to her for a while and wondered if he, too felt anything. Would he seek her out, again offering poetic words from a song? In her heart she hoped she would see him, and murmured his last words to her – “to hurt is to steal”. She suddenly realized what he meant. To hurt him, was stealing their bond. 1. It seems clear she still has feelings for him. After reading the poem, it seems like she is looking at him with empathy. So many questions on why she left and if they might get back together…

(p.s. I linked you up in Mr. Linky)
