His meager offering went unnoticed as her arms encircled a much larger flower. The fact such a huge rose bloom was incredible, she still could not take her eyes from it. And him, being the sorry sap portrayed here also ignored the illusion the skull had made, his lovelorn vision only for her face. The skull resisted a smile as he enjoyed the conundrum he created. A woman’s dream brought to life and a man’s naivety revealed.
