dVerse Poets – Loop Poem

Loop Poetry is a poetry form created by Hellon. There are no restrictions on the number of stanzas nor on the syllable count for each line. In each stanza, the last word of the first line becomes the first word of line two, last word of line 2 becomes the first word of line 3, last word of line 3 becomes the first word of line 4. This is followed for each stanza. The rhyme scheme is abcb.
  • Write a Loop Poem based on the writing challenge as described above. Post it on your blog or website.
  • Enter your name and direct link to your poem in Mr. Linky.
  • Remember to check the box re: privacy policy.
  • Follow the links to other poets. Read and comment on other poems. We all appreciate feedback on our poems.
  • Link back to dVerse so others can find us too.
  • Have fun!

I choose: Variations: 1. Stanzas, writers choice on the number, no rhyming, the last word, first word scheme is maintained.

***

thunder on the rise

rise up too loud

loud cracks of lightning too

too bright for such dark days

days of storms in summer months

months of hot humid air

air so heavy, hard to breathe

breathe on, summer days.
