For the visually challenged writer, the photo shows a couple embracing in front of a large, illuminated clock, as well as other smaller, x-ray-like images of the mechanical components of clocks.


She knew it was only til midnight that the dream would last—him holding her dancing to music only in her head. Less than two hours of her holding him here in this concoction of purple haze. She thought it odd he seemed completely attentive, his eyes only on her, holding her ever tighter, but that was part of it, part of the spell. She looked up hesitantly to see the reminders all drifting around them—hated harbingers of time.
