***Autumn coloring in leaves is my favorite thing about fall and there is so much more. Growing up on a farm there was always the promise of harvesting vegetables from our huge garden. Baked squash, corn, soups, are all still loved today. A special treat was the grape juice my mom made from the Concord grape vines. I can only have the pleasure of this grape once a year here in the west, and if I find them in time. I remember once the juice in bottles stored in the cellar turned acidy and popped their tops—what a mess!
A wonderful pastorale.
