Unable to sleep last night I encountered Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds. I was watching “Luther” when a song at the end of an episode impressed me. It was this band and the song was “Palaces of Montezuma”. Subsequently, I listened to quite a few of their songs and the most emotional to me was the one below, “Into my Arms”. I wanted to share this one:

I’d never heard of him or his music before. Thanks for the introduction.

Nick is something of a national treasure here, as you probably know.

I didnt know until I found him via “Luther”. A lot of great music I find when watching a series.

Nick was in a film with a friend of mine many years ago, ‘Ghosts of The Civil Dead’, and I have been a great follower since.

But I bet that you’re not familiar with this! My old pal Dave plays Lilli, in this film, but it is, quite frankly, a difficult thing to watch.

Hmm, I’ll see if I can look in on it.

And I’m not even suggesting that it is a good movie …. quite dated, in many ways. But gritty!

I’m enjoying loads of “unplugged” stuff at the moment. It’s good just to hear someone and a piano.
